  • This is a GREAT Launch Monitor!
I tried other launch monitors including the Garmin G80, Garmin R10, the ShotScope LM1 and THIS one beats them all for ease of use, price, consistency, accuracy and visibility. No phone or app needed. Runs on AAA batteries -- which is fine. They seem to last quite a while. I put the monitor on a mini tripod (monitor has a 1/4" screw hole) to lift it off the hot concrete at the range. So EASY to program which club you are using (has them all) and easy to see the result of each shot at a glance. Doesn't require precise positioning -- it can pick up the shot! Has all the essential data most of us golfers need. Highly recommend!! ... show more

  • Works well and appears to be fairly accurate
I got this launch monitor for Christmas. Today I hit over 100 golf balls. Hit driver, fairway woods, hybrids, irons and wedges. The monitor only missed 1 shot. Total yardage for all clubs was very comparable to the yardage I typically hit each club on the course. On miss hits or poor hits you could definitely see the difference on yardage and smash factor data. One of the main reasons I bought this monitor was to learn my carry distance for each club. It was very interesting to learn that the carry distance on 3 or 4 of my clubs is basically the same even though the total distance varies based on the loft of the club, trajectory, and roll out. It was also very humbling to learn just how much my swing speed has dropped being in my mid 60s and having lost over 60 pounds and a good bit of strength this past year. It was interesting to see that I could increase my swing speed 5-10 mph by taking a full backswing however when I did the smash factor would decrease a good bit because I would loose club head control and basically hit the ball the same distance as I typically do with my shorter backswing. Looking forward to using the monitor in the future to improve my swing. I would definitely recommend this product to amateur golfers that want a reasonable priced monitor to get a little data to tweak their swing. ... show more

  • Will tell you what ballpark youre in but not which seat.
If you are just looking for a device that will show you what ballpark your in this works pretty good for the price. Accurate club speed. Carry distance varies by 10 yards or so according to you tube reviews. I have to get to to range and check that. It would register my 3-8 irons almost 100% but starting not picking up the 9 iron. so your more lofted clubs may not register. Easy set-up and run. ... show more

  • Perfect for what it is. HIGHLY Accurate
I am a plus handicap golfer and the most important thing to me is accuracy. I do not have $20K for the top of the line equipment so I have been trying many launch monitors. I found this product to be the best for my needs. Doesn't overheat in the sun like MLM and it is consistent and with a small margin of products like Trackman and GC Quad. I have tested it against both several times. It is bare minimum on data, but the data is correct. Which is mind very helpful. The calculated carry distances are good enough. I have found the club head speed to be incorrect at times. For example, 119 club head and 123 ball speed. So, it is very obvious when it is incorrect. I use mine more for seeing my ball speeds shot to shot and range session to range session. But it has been good for getting new carry numbers and seeing when I am having a slower swing speed day. It is easy to set up and use all day long. I really like mine and use it every time I am on the range practicing or warming up. If you are looking for accuracy and portability, this is the unit for you. ... show more

  • Great little launch monitor
I bought this launch monitor the other day on sale for $199.00 and used it at the range at the CC this morning and it is so easy to set up and seem to be very accurate but it really can't tell about distance because our range has an elevated tee area then dives off and the ball gets lost once it drops of but gave me all the feedback I need. I'll try it on a flat surface but as of now really happy with something this cheap. My son is a Class A pro and bought him a $29,000.00 trackman which does everything but this is all I need for swing speed, ball speed, smash factor, and distance. Easy to read screen a resets for the next quickly. Would recommend for something you can keep in your bag at a very reasonable price. ... show more

  • Great For Junior Golfer
Needed a simple launch monitor to track numbers for a junior golfer. The price is right and it seems accurate as long as you set up correctly. Set up 4 feet directly behind the ball. Also, if hitting off a mat, raise the monitor 3.5 inches off the ground. If you're on the same plane or level as the monitor, hitting off grass for example, raise it 2 inches off the ground. I bought a cheap camera or cell phone stand (the ones where you can bend the legs) that can screw onto the monitor. Works great. ... show more

  • Decent but questionable at higher swing speeds. Decent but questionable at higher swing speeds.
I know I don't have a perfect swing, but I doubt that my form breaks down so much after 100MPH that my smash factor all of a sudden goes to nearly 1 or that it's so bad that it can only read the club. I'm assuming if the ball gets launched fast enough, this monitor is just incapable of reading the ball speed any longer so puts out questionable information or just gives up on everything but the club speed. ... show more

  • Great for the price.
Bought while on sale. Probably more of a 3.5 star rating. Love how compact it is and the price point. Great for measuring swing speed. Easy to use. At my home set up it misses swings regularly (more than 60%) but at the range it is far more consistent (misses maybe 10% - always the good hits, ha!). It’s a good place holder until I can afford a more advanced tracker. Lives in my bag. ... show more
