This product is very sturdy and made from quality materials. The instructions were clear for the most part and installation was easy. They did forget the card holder in my package but it wasn’t really a big deal for me as I just put it in the drawer. As far as functionality goes, the card reader takes triple A batteries so I’m not sure what happens when they die. Do I have to take apart the nightstand or does it Auto Unlock so that you don’t get perma locked out. Also the card reader doesn’t always read it right away. Sometimes you have to pull it away and swipe near it again. I’d argue that it’s a nifty spot to hide your home defense device if you don’t want kids or anyone finding it. And for the money I’d say it’s worth it. ... show more

Missing the most parts. So if I want to use the lock I cant. Doesn't come with any batteries. And the card is small and it not what I expected it to be. Disappointed and trick.

    • Needs Lots of Assembly!
This item comes in many parts: wood and screws. It took me about 2 hours to assemble. If you're not up for that, do not buy it. Also, the lock was missing parts, and short of returning the whole thing (after I spent 2 hours assembling it) there is no other option.

Unfortunately, once I fully built it and went to close it, the rfid lock falls off. also, I didn’t have batteries to test the rfid so the next morning I bought batteries and that also doesn’t work.
