I had high hopes for this set. The scissors are crap. They are not very sharp, and came apart after the second use. The razor is ok and the cape is fine. Wouldn't recommend if you're going to use the scissors very much.

No, you don't have to be a stylist, you don't have to be any kind of hair expert but having a great set of hair sheer is a great way to do some fun stuff. Sometimes you need some touch up between cuts that are easy to do by yourself on yourself or your loved ones, other times you just want to fix less then impressive kid's cut that went wrong and there was no way to fix it. It also is great for those times when you feel extremely creative and you can find a willing subject. It is fun. Get them. Use or not, but they look so awesome! You will truly look for opportunities to use them. I highly recommend the set. I am totally happy happy happy with this set.
