The high quality, chemically- inert, low-free silica and low-dusting BLACK BEAUTY abrasives are utilized in a wide range of applications. This includes the removal of surface coatings such as rust, paint, and scale, from a variety of substrates, especially structural steel and concrete. Imitation maybe the sincerest form of flattery, but there is only one original BLACK BEAUTY abrasive. Fine grade black beauty: Utilized for new construction, light paint and rust removal and special maintenance applications requiring reduced profiles. Fine Grit 20/40 Blast Media Use Fine for new construction, light paint and rust removal, and for special maintenance applications requiring reduced profiles. Bridge maintenance, light mill scale, paint and rust, new structural steel. Minimum suggested nozzle size of 3/16 in. and under standard blasting conditions will achieve a 2.0-3.8 Mil profile Quantity: 10 lbs. This sand is decent if you're planning to use it for an aquarium. However, it requires a lot of rinsing and the grain size is a bit too small for comfort. Great for the purpose, but definitely consider getting a lower grit.

    • Black Beauty is the one of the best and least expensive blast medias.
Worked great for the small project I had. Black Beauty is great blast media and works well at lower pressures, best at high pressure. Reasonable price for the quantity, I don't want to store 40 pounds of media until the next project.

Good for the few dollars it cost don't think it's going to get heavy grit and grime it's just a clean car save some water but otherwise it's a good little hydro wash
