Birkenstocks are always great and this classic style is no exception. They fit perfectly, the leather is a nice light brown colour and they were a steal. I've never had leather myself, only the birkoflor so these did feel a bit stiff but after a week of wearing them they have relaxed enough to wear them on long walks. I ordered the exact same ones for my husband because they were such a great deal and his are a slightly different colour even though they are both the tobacco brown. I ordered these to replace an old pair that had reached the end of its life. These are very comfortable and true to size. When I first put them on they fit a little snug, but after wearing a few times, they began to break in and now fit perfectly. They have plenty of support, but not so much that they are uncomfortable. This is the second pair of Birkenstocks I have and this one is great and well made with the leather. My other pair of Birkenstocks are 8 years old and still are fine. I wanted a backup pair to use, one that looks a bit nicer. I use these in the winter too by wearing socks. I have high arches and plantars fascitis and these don't bother my feet. ... show more

I followed the tip guides that I looked up which was the measure your foot in inches and add 31 to it, thus making me a 40 Regular. The width was perfect and as the sandals broke in i was able to tighten the buckle. However it was still a little big and I should have ordered a 39. Other than that, a very comfortable sandal even if it was in a regular footbed. I would order it again but in a size smaller than usual since they don't run in half sizes. ... show more

Order a size smaller. I’ve ordered 2 different styles and had to return them due to them being a whole size to big. But theses shoes are incredible and last for years!!! ;-)
