I was nervous about buying these because of the word "narrow" in the title ~ BUT I read further, and in the actual product description it says, "Please be advised that the Birkenstock Narrow width accommodates both traditional narrow and medium widths." These fit my medium size 8 feet perfectly (I ordered the 8, but I believe the size 8 - 8.5 is the same (which is the European size 39). The taupe is a beautiful neutral color. My only problem was one of the lower straps was not completely glued on the inside, but I just used some Gorilla Glue and problem solved! This is one of many Birkenstocks in my closet but definitely one of my favorites! The color is so very nice and the fit is perfect. You will not be disappointed with this style or color!

I only wore these a few months and the strap broke. I question if these are true Birkernstocks or a fake knock off?

I like Birkenstock sandals, In fact, I love them. My favorites are the ones with wide straps. The leather on these is softer.

    • Expensive Flip Flops, Check for the N!!
These sandals fit much more like flip flops than the typical Birkenstock that fits to your foot and doesn’t move much. The straps are too much towards your toes and when you walk they slap your heel, loudly. Additionally, I had to return these twice as I ordered my size in a regular but was sent Narrow by two separate companies (even after intentionally choosing the non-narrow option both times). Make sure in your cart it doesn’t have an -N after your size if you don’t want a Narrow! ... show more
