i had a pair of stocks back in the late 80's through 90's. wasn't paying attention one day, and the rottweiler decided that he liked them more than me. i was depressed to say the least. it took me over a year to get them just the way i wanted. then i decided that i needed some more. i was having back trouble and knee pains, (refuse to believe that i am getting older)! i remembered my old stocks. so i bought these. i have been wearing them right from the box and love 'em! i know there is a break in period, but they are comfortable now so i wear them everywhere. i can imagine how good they will feel when the break in point is reached!!! they are a tad too large per the sizing chart. (which i followed to the letter) but stocks aren't supposed to fit snug. they are made for casual comfort. they are supposed to feel loose. if you can't get a finger under the straps, they are too tight. i say let 'em flop a little. you won't regret it. P.S. they aren't designed for running, you will send one or yourself flying! ... show more

it’s a brand/shoe I’ve been wearing since I was a kid for a reason. High quality, comfortable. I’ve even had pairs sent to be re-soled on account of heavy wear and they come back good as new. They’re pricy, but it’s well worth the investment given how long they last.
