Thrilled with these. I'm paranoid about ants or flour "bugs," and I am also very frugal so I try to keep brown sugar and such "fresh" for as long as possible, so that has me always triple bagging and taping packages, but then my pantry looked messy and it was a pain to not only find but use everything. I took a chance on these, figuring I'd probably keep things in their bags but at least hide some mess. But the suction/seal seems so good that I took another chance and just dumped in the flour and even raw sugar. (I'll keep my old ways for brown sugar.) If anything, it is a little hard to get the biggest container lid off, and I like it that way. The handle seems secure so far. I'm not really a big fan of "brassy" items, but I actually love the way these look. I keep them in my pantry because I like my counters cleared off, but if I had more space, I'd probably even keep them out. They look nice. I do wish the two smallest were a little bigger. I'm using the third one for small bags of (partially used) chopped nuts and chocolate chips, and it is a little snug. And then in the smallest I put white sugar (which I use less than raw sugar), but it is an odd size, too small or too big for most other things I considered using it for. That said, the "too big" concern is offset by being able to fit my hand in to measure out of, so I wouldn't want it to be smaller. Overall, I'm pleased with these. If I saw them in a store and could feel and try them out, I'd buy, and now that I have, I'm pleased so far. If I find that they don't keep things fresh or otherwise protected, I'll update, but so far, so good. Oh, and they were packaged so lovingly. It must have been by hand (no way a machine did it), and it was very thoughtful and careful how each piece was wrapped and nestled. It was a nice touch.

These are beautiful and I will continue to store things that I do not use on a daily basis in them. They are good quality metal and the finish seems to be durable and it is beautiful. The hammered copper is great! The only downside is the lids. They are kind of hard to deal with. You can't hardly pull them off. I will not use these for something like flour or anything that I need to be able to access easily and certainly not something I use daily. They are good storage containers though. They would be totally fabulous if the lids just worked right. Beautiful product but it just needs a little tweaking on the lids.

These are really very pretty and unique looking canisters and come packaged carefully. The metal and finish are very nice and they look lovely on my kitchen counter. Unfortunately there seems to be an issue with the seal on these cannisters. One of the canisters has such a tight seal that it is almost impossible to open, which means when the lid finally comes off, whatever is inside goes everywhere. Usage has not loosened this seal. Two of the smaller canisters have an extremely loose, almost non existent seal. They are definitely not air tight, which means that I cannot use this set for storing flour, sugar and other conventional ingredients you often put in cannisters. These would be great for holding other things where a seal is not important and you are looking for something decorative, but unfortunately if you are looking for a canister set to store conventional kitchen staples, I would not recommend these.

I've learned over the past few months to pay close attention to the descriptions and images of any/all items that are manufactured in China. If you decide based on what your initial perceptions are from the images alone then you're going to be disappointed in the size of the product. This is for no other reason than our natural predilection to perceive objects as being larger when not shown in context with an object of a known size. I've learned to look at the measurements provided and then to take a ruler and look at that measurement directly. After careful review of the ad and looking at the images in the magnified views I can state that what I received is exactly what the vendor advertised that I would receive. The seals are clearly shown as being a tight, thin, silicon band that should be more than sufficient to provide an airtight seal if fitted well. These seals are also adjustable should they be out of alignment simply by pulling it away from the metal of the lid, repositioning it, and allowing it to reseal itself. One of the canisters did have a seal that was loose in comparison to the others, and this was quickly rectified using the steps indicated above. The canisters are lightweight stainless steel with an Antique hammered copper patina, exactly as advertised. They look even nicer than pictured when you open them up and remove them from the packaging. Each canister is individually packaged and protected even while being inserted into the next larger canister so that the three smaller canisters all fit inside the largest which is, itself, packaged and protected very well. The volume of each canister is precisely as advertised too. Since I took the time to read the ad carefully, I knew, in advance, what my intended purpose would be for each, and barring any problems if they were as advertised, I would be happy with my choice. I'm therefore extremely pleased with these canisters because they are exactly as advertised and therefore meet my every expectation. They look great, seal well, and are sized perfectly for my needs.

I am pleasantly surprised by this set. These nesting canisters were much larger than I was expecting. They are a pretty copper color with a hammered texture. They are perfect for storing dry goods in or to use as decoration. The metal seems to be of good quality. I give these a four out of five stars because the only thing I find that may be a problem is the clear seal around the top of the lid. It tends to slide around a bit when removing the top. It does however provide excellent suction. I do have to give the lid a good pull to remove it. I chose to hand wash and dried them immediately. I do not think the copper would hold up well in the dishwasher.
