We had a barn swallow that kept trying to build on the door ledge. Sloppy, dirty mud and twigs. Nothing had worked. My husband kept tearing the nest down and she kept coming back. I found these through Amazon and we mounted these with double sided tape, because the house has just been painted. It worked like a charm. She has not been back. I bought these to deter birds from perching on our basketball hoop. They were a little tough to install. We decided to screwed them in. Double sided tape would be much easier. But we weren’t sure it would be secure enough. This did not work for the pesky Robin we are battling with. Within 2 days he was back at his spot. May be more suited for areas they are trying to build nests. ... show more
