We have too many wild animals such as woodchuck, deer, rabbit, and fox. While this is a bird netting, it does a good job providing physical barrier in our backyard around the trees to prevent animals from entering and accessing our yard. I appreciate that it came with cable ties and ground stakes, which helped with setting this net around the trees. It's very long with 50feet long and it's a bit tedious to unfold the net but once you get one side unrolled, you just have to be patient to unroll the rest, which helps if you have another person holding and helping you with the netting. This would definitely protect plans and garden from birds as this is what's intended for but works for my needs, which is to keep animals away from entering our backyard. ... show more

    • My Chickens are safe from hawks now!

I can’t say how this will hold up or how durable it will withstand Michigan winters yet but so far after a week it is keeping the hawks from killing my chickens! It was quite the project unfolding, putting it up over my 6’ chain link fence around my chicken coop. It took 3 of us and a bit of patience but after a few hours my fence and coop were completely covered. The zip ties that come with this aren’t worth the time it takes to open the wrapper, buy some good ones before you start the install. We unrolled this outside along the fence we would be draping it over, give yourself a lot of space to keep it from unraveling and tangling. I hope this holds up well because it seems to be doing a good job. It is strong enough to drape it’s full length at the height we have it 6’-8’ and light weight enough not to sag in the middle of pulled tight and secured in place. For me it was well worth the 29 bucks and the time to install to keep my chickens from hawk attacks. ... show more

It’s been almost exactly 2 years since we bought this netting. It lasted through many wind ice and rain storms. Finally got taken out by a combo of that this winter. I will be ordering again and making some adjustments to how it’s supported in hopes that we get even longer out of it this go around.

I had high hopes for an easy spread. What ever you do, don't let it touch the ground where there are leaves or twigs. As soon as it touched the ground the net acted as a magnet to all debris on the ground and I spent way too long pulling the net apart and pulling the twigs out. Lucky, the net is very string and didn't suffer damage with all the tugging. Once it was up, it was great. The struggle was real. Get lots of help to install. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Got this for my chicken coop to keep the peacocks and other animals from getting in through the top. I ordered 50x50 but I got something more like 50x75. I didn’t mind the extra length, I just trimmed it. However, when we rolled it out, the pattern didn’t really line up with the way it was cut. We made it work though and now it is doing it’s job. I love this poultry netting a lot better than chicken wire. It is so easy to work with, it cuts easily and it does not rust. It was easy to install and helped deter the dogs from digging in my flower beds, which is exactly what I wanted it to be used for. Lightweight, durable and a great cost.
