You'll find the biOrb FLOW 15 Aquarium is a really easy aquarium to set up and own. Everything you need to start your aquarium is included in the box. It uses the proven biOrb filtration system and also has a built-in LED light. The biOrb FLOW 15 is ideal for keeping small fish or shrimp and is compact enough to place on your desk or in a small space. Most aquariums use small box filters and/or smooth gravel which easily clog with dirt. Like all biOrbs, the biOrb FLOW 15 uses special ceramic media to provide biological filtration, which has a surface area equivalent to the size of a soccer field. Any excess waste is collected and held in a filter cartridge at the base of the biOrb. To maintain your biOrb FLOW 15 all you do is simply replace the filter cartridge every four weeks and change a third of the water. For safety and peace of mind, the lights and air pump are low voltage. The aquarium itself is made from acrylic. You can enjoy all the technology of an advanced aquarium set up, supplied in one box, making the biOrb FLOW 15 Aquarium the perfect aquarium for anyone new to fish keeping.

I Love the style and design of what Oase Living Water have to offer in the BiOrb aquarium collections. This is my first BiOrb FLOW tank. And my first Betta! ( always had mostly schooling fish when I was a kid). Set up was super easy. Just follow the simple step by step pictures. I purchased several different plant accessories instead of a Decor Kit so that I can have a more customized look. Once set up, the water has to Cycle for 24 hours so don’t go to aquarium store to get your new fish until the BiOrb is ready . I decided to get a Betta because the Petco Fish expert said my 5 gallon tank isn’t big enough for anything else. (I didn’t want a goldfish because I know the filter would need to be changed more frequently). This is the way a Betta should live! He seems So much happier than in a bowl of still water. The pump runs hard so it bounces right off the table and just continues to do so. It’s long enough to reach the carpet from the tv console table the tank sits on, so I wrapped a sock sound it (as another buyer stated) and you can barely hear it if it’s up against the wall ;) So fast forward to my first Complete water change... yes I had to do a complete water & filter change after just 4 months because the instructions on the Aqueon betta food say to feed 2-3 times per day enough that could be consumed in 2minutes. Algae started growing on everything so I added a few cherry shrimp to do some cleaning up. (Shrimp are the only other aquatic species that the Betta won’t kill). I went back to Petco to see if there was some kind of drops to quicken the algae kill, and when the Fish Chick seen my picture she said my Betta is Bloated and she shouldn’t be able to see the fish’s waste. So over feeding caused the rampant algae growth and since I had large white rocks in the front and the ceramic media toward the back, you could actually see how much Brixton was doing his thing if you know what I mean, so I chose to start over~ fresh. I removed the large topiary ball because it was taking up too much space. Brixton is now on an more appropriate diet if just 3 tiny nuggets of food once a day. I will update went it’s time to do a Partial water & filter change, ;) ... show more

I got the 4 gal aquarium. This aquarium looks great. It’s pretty much noiseless. It was easy to setup as well. I thought the amount of rocks was too little, but it was the perfect amount. I bought the red forest decor. I couldn’t put all of that decor in there due to it looking crowded. I moved it around a couple of times. The LED light is pretty bright. I wish there was a dimmer. I can’t wait to put a Betta in there! ... show more

The BiOrb Flow 30 Aquarium was just what my fish needed. He seems much happier in his new tank and it's stylish enough to sit on the kitchen counter for all those to see. The tank did come with a defective transformer that only lasted 24 hours, however the seller promptly addressed the issue and worked with the manufacturer to send me a new transformer within a week's time. So far (going on 48 hours) the new transformer is still working and the filter is catching up with the slightly dirty tank. ... show more

I want to say I love this tank, I was excited and wanted to buy more from the company because I loved the style. I ordered a brand new one, and was sent a used tank. I could tell it was used because the bags and boxes for the parts were already opened and empty, there was a few pieces of gravel not like the ones included in the bottom, and the cords were tied together. It still works so I would have ignored except it had some huge dark scuff marks on one side and even one on the filter holder itself inside the tank, not to mention light scratches and scuffs all around it. Also there was no filter included, just an empty filter holder. It does work and I decided though disappointed in the grey scoff marks and small scratches on other parts to still use it. If new I would have loved it, and felt it was worth the $80-90 I payed for it. Have to say I’m just shocked how obviously it came damaged and used. No hiding it, not even putting stuff back in boxes, just a scuffed dirty tank and tangled wires with empty bags and miny boxes. If I payed for new and got used that’s pretty bad, seems like as soon as they got a return they just stuck a label on it and sent it to me without checking it. Didn’t even arrive in an Amazon or normal shipping box, just the fish tank box with a hole in it and taped more to cover openings. I like it but it’s nothing amazing, just another cute style of a plastic tank, but the light and filter quality is good and the wood stones it comes with are nice too. Update: Weather the remote is suppose to be included or not, I think selling it at almost $50 is insane. You get these remotes included in most $20 command strip sets. With the used and damaged quality of tank I got and the remote, I feel this company is pretty overpriced for the quality you get. ... show more

This is a great looking tank and, when it's clean, looks nice and works well. But even a tank with no fish is going to need to be cleaned and this is where you learn that the proprietary filter is expensive (about USD $11 each). And a bit of a pain to get out and get the tank cleaned. Additionally, the transformer, while used for both the light and the air pump, is a big old school wall-wart and not a switched mode power supply so it gets warm and isn't super efficient. It looks good. But it'll cost you time and money to keep it that way. ... show more

I purchased this almost 2 years ago and it's worked great. The wire on the LED light broke recently, so I wrote to ask about purchasing a replacement part and customer service responded promptly and said they'd send me an upgraded replacement light (the new version has the MCR) at no cost.
