  • THE PERFECT SHOW-STOPPING AQUARIUM The CLASSIC aquarium's design is inspired by the simple beauty of a classic fishbowl, a 360-degree view so you can admire all aspects of your biOrb. The 16-gallon (60 L) tank's size is ideal for tabletop display.
  • DURABLE CONSTRUCTION biOrb aquariums are made from acrylic, which is 10 times stronger, 50% lighter, and 23% clearer than ordinary glass aquariums. Acrylic is also a good insulator, so you don't lose as much heat as you would with a glass aquarium.
  • PATENTED FILTRATION SYSTEM IS EASY TO MAINTAIN All biOrb aquariums have a true 5-stage filtration system including biological, mechanical, chemical, water stabilization and oxygenation that keeps it clean. The filter is conveniently located at the bottom of the aquarium, and the ceramic media surrounding it promotes the growth of beneficial bacteria.
  • VIBRANT, MOOD-ENHANCING LIGHTING Use the included remote control to select one of the 16 preset colors, fade through the entire spectrum of colors, and control the brightness of the LED lights. You can also set automatic 8-, 10-, 12- or 14-hour day and night cycles for a more natural scene for your aquarium inhabitants. This natural cycle helps cut down on algae blooms, which benefits fish health, water quality, and cuts down on routine maintenance.

Description

These breathtaking underwater worlds add a sense of joy and wonder to your home. With chic and minimalist design, a biOrb CLASSIC 60 MCR aquarium makes it effortless for you to elevate any space. This 16-Gallon acrylic aquarium is inspired by the simple beauty of a classic fishbowl, a 360-degree view so you can admire all aspects of your biOrb. This biOrb CLASSIC has a bold silver lid and base that create a stylish finished look to this unique aquarium. Everything you need to start your new hobby is included: low voltage pump, LED Multi-color Remote-controlled (MCR) lighting, filtration, and manual. All biOrb aquariums are made from acrylic, which is 10 times stronger and 23% clearer than glass. Acrylic is also a good insulator, so you don't lose as much heat as you would with a glass aquarium. The MCR light will change how you experience biOrb. Choose from 16 preset colors and control the brightness of the light. You can even set an automatic day and night light cycle. There's a setting to suit every mood and add to your sense of well-being. The 5-step Filtration ensures clear, healthy water with biological, mechanical and chemical filtration, water stabilization and oxygenation. The ceramic media that surrounds the filter provides a large surface area for beneficial bacteria. Additionally, biOrb aquariums are designed for easy maintenance and easy access to feed your fish. • Worth the Money - Long As You Set It Up Right
Style: Series 7 Color: Black with LED Lighting Size: 8 Gallon
The media could not be loaded. Meets every expectation! Most beautiful aquarium I've ever owned! NOTE - I have 20+ years experience keeping fish. But after reading so many negative comments (most of which are on the silver MCR-light version), just to make sure, I talked with my local fish store equipment experts to make sure the little guys in my current tank would transition ok to this new tank, before I even bought it. Here's my advice: Regardless, buy the air stream cap!! It's only $2, & it will make sure nobody gets stuck in that tube! (See newer pic with assassin snail). -If this is a brand new aquarium for you, I would set it up according to the instructions. *Yes the air pump will be loud if it's right next to the surface the tank is on, as it vibrates. I recommend putting the BiOrb on a cabinet/stand with a drawer/shelf inside that you can put the air pump in (with a hole in the back for the tube to connect through). *Keep in mind most tropical fish need a heater (yes the tank lid has space for its chord), so I would buy one. If you don't want to buy any decor not sold by BiOrb (like live plants & wood), you'll need to start slowly with your fish. I would add any bottom feeders (shrimp, snails, ottos) on the 1st day that you can add fish, & NOTHING else. (BiOrb DOES NOT recommend corys with their pebbles just FYI.) Wait another 2-3 more days, then add your other fish. Stay away from micro breeds & any digging breeds (again due to their pebbles) and don't overload the tank. The general rule is 1 inch of fish = 1 gallon of water. This model is an 8-gal tank, so no more than 8 fish total. Again, talking with your fish store expert will help. If everyone's happy in 8 months, you can be more flexible with this. -If you are transitioning fish from an old tank to this one, this will work great. Don't use the fake pebbles that come with the tank if you're fish are smaller than 2". These pebbles are large & oddly shaped (& this is why small fish get stuck in the filter). Use standard, large aquarium gravel, or river rocks as I have here. The goal is to cover the filter enough that no one will get caught inside, but there will still be flow. Sand is a no-no as it will get stuck in the filter. If you use substrate, you'll want to use it in combination with something else, & position it away from the filter. You might need a bottom feeder fish if you don't have any, &/or don't want to clean the tank with a gravel vac as the filter will work slightly slower with smaller gravel just FYI. As my picture shows, I've already moved all my rocks, wood & live plants to the new tank right away. I recommend this (your fish will be fine without decor for the 3-day period the BiOrb needs lol). This will establish the healthy biome faster, & prevent ammonia spikes when the fish are moved over. If you have a planted aquarium, I would move some, but not all, of that so neither tank's biome gets messed up. Also, I'm not using the water bio booster (that comes with) because I have live stuff already in the tank, again to prevent ammonia spikes. And I have my own water conditioner my fish like, so I'm also not using the one that comes with it. Hope this calms some nerves! This really is a beautiful aquarium, my fish will love it!! ------- Update 2/23: Still love, love, love this aquarium! It took a few months to get the ideal balance between fish, decor placement, & cleaning (this is an 8 gallon, my previous tank size for over a decade was 5 & a completely different shape/setup)... But I expected that. Currently it has: Cardinals, a couple danios & platies, a licorice gourami, that snail, & two amano shrimp (one of which is preggers, so yeah everyone is pretty happy lol). ... show more

  • Beautiful tank, recommend going larger if you can
Style: 4 Gallon Color: SILVER Size: 4 Gallon
Absolutely love the look of this Biorb tank! Tank arrived as promised in perfect condition, no scratches or damage, all the parts in great working condition and clear set up directions. Decided to convert to different medium and setup as identified by The PondGuru on Youtube in order to cut down on cost of filter changes & the tank has done well with zero algae build up. However in this essentially 4 gallon tank I have live plants including Marimo balls, a Betta fish and Cory catfish which is a rather significant bio-load for this small tank. By the time I added my Chola wood to provide a resting place for my Betta & maintain the PH which I was struggling to balance, my Marimo balls, 2 fish one, and an artificial plant to cover the bubble tube, this tank is almost too full. When I add another tank I will most likely upgrade to another Biorb ~16gallon just to minimize the maintenance routine and provide more space for my fish. The way the tank is shaped really draws out the ability to view the contents and watch the fish activity, which is spectacular! It also makes it more difficult to clean, because of the small top opening, but not impossible and well worth the trade-off. Highly recommend these unique Biorb tanks, but consider making it easy on yourself and go ahead and upgrade to a larger size in order to more easily maintain water quality for your aquatic pets. ... show more

  • It's about the beauty of it.
Style: 8 Gallon Color: Silver with MCR Lighting Size: 8 Gallon
Had this months now and think I have it going well now. Easy to set up. This is a work of art as are the sculptures for the center. It's not for the fish enthusiast who wants large and exotic fish. It's for the professional who wants a tank in an office or waiting room that is a conversation starter. It's for the family that wants something beautiful not just an experiment for the kids. Problems in other reviews are mostly due to not following general aquarium advice. Eg don't put it in a window or you'll have an algae problem. Don't overfeed or put too many fish in or you'll have a pollution aka chemical problem causing fish death. Do routine maintenance, change water, replace filter, etc. Don't put live plants in the substrate. If you have a problem deal with it early, don't wait for it to get out of control or kill your fish. Don't put goldfish or other pollution machines in it. Keep to small fish using the 1 inch of fish to 1 gallon of water rule. Assume everything Biob is expensive. But most or all of it is good quality. The MCR lights are worth every penny to me as I change the setting several times a day. It adds to the artistic value. The acrylic will scratch. But the round shape of the classic creates visual effects that I love. Again, part of the artistic value. Truth is this is an interior design outlet for me. I take everything out and put in new decor at will. As such, it's cost effective LOL. ... show more

  • Beautiful and easy to set up!
Style: Series 7 Color: Black with MCR Lighting Size: 4 Gallon
I love my Biorb fish tank. I purchased a betta fish to complement it. The tank is beautiful and the lights are stunning. It is so quiet. I added a heater and bought some gorgeous decorative rocks and plants from Biorb to make my betta feel at home in it.

  • Beautiful, but maybe deadly
Style: Series 7 Color: Black with LED Lighting Size: 8 Gallon
My kids got this tank for Christmas because I wanted one that was pretty to look at. We got Biorb branded decor set too. We followed the directions exactly and gave plenty of time before adding dish. Day one, put in three dish. Two die- trapped in the ceramic media in the bottom. Day two, try adding seven new fish (somewhat larger) and five die. I’ve never had issues like this with a traditional tank. My kids are heartbroken and I don’t want to sink any more money into a tank that seems to be offing my fish. I’m beyond frustrated and if I still had the packaging, I’d be arranging a return. ... show more
