Had to use a small file to "open up" the stock servo tray and filed a "notch" in the rear of the tray so the wires exiting the servo were not pinched or bent. Very easy to do. Received the product earlier than scheduled which is always great! &This is an Absolutely Awesome upgrade for the SCX24, the install was a breeze &really pretty straight foward. I can definitely feel the added torque &the increased handling. That being said it's still a small servo so the increases arnt enormous but definitely enough to feel the improvement. I'd definitely reccoment it. I'm actually buying 1 for my dad &my son cause I just really think everyone should realy have 1 of these in the scx24. Wow, what an upgrade for my deadbolt. It has amazing power compared to the stock servo. You can literally hold the buggy firmly by one wheel then steer with the transmitter and the entire buggy will swing side to side. Impressive! Some reviews mentioned having to file the stock mount, I found that unnecessary. I also used the supplied white servo arm and painted it black with a sharpy. Its working great. ... show more

    • 21 tooth servo horn, try to buy one before you buy
Advertise as a great replacement for scx24, which all use 25 tooth servo horn. All the micro trucks are based on these tiny servo horns. Try finding one to fit this thing, or you just upgraded your truck and are stuck using absolutely garbage white plastic it came with. Returning.

Way better than stock scx24 servo. Much stronger and faster. I did get another servo mont for it though as the stock was to flimsy and small for it. I got the one that came with metal servo tray for a few dollars extra.

Gears would not turn when powered, so I took apart the case to see if anything was jamming the gears. I didn’t see anything obvious, so I reassembled and when I was screwing in one of the four screws, the case broke in the area surrounding the screw. The gears started too turn after assembly, but not at first. I’m returning for a refund or replacement. ... show more
