  • Great cutter for flattening on shapeoko cnc
Pattern Name: Surfacing Bit Size: 1/4" Shank-1-1/2" Cut Dia. (2 Inserts)
This thing cuts really well. I can run faster feeds on hardwoods than the last one I had. Love it!

  • Excellent Customer Service
Pattern Name: Surfacing Bit Size: 1/4" Shank-1-1/2" Cut Dia. (2 Inserts)
I purchased this 1 1/2 inch spoil board surfacing bit out of curiosity, knowing 1/4 shaft may be a little small to sling that big of bit. I run a trim router on my CNC and so not high performance to start. The bit I got cut nicely in knotty alder but had a lot of vibration and was extremely loud. I reached out to the company asking a few questions and they replied back almost instantly. We exchanged question and answers and prior to me asking or them telling me I got notification they had refunded my money. I wondered if there was a factory issue and would gladly taken a replacement. I ended up taking the refund and purchasing a second identical bit to give it another try. I now know my trim router was most of the issue and contacted them again to let them know what I found and their first bit was fine, offering to pay for it because of the refund. They denied payment, thanked me for the update and hoped I continue to buy from them. Customer service like that now days is unheard of in my experience and this company has secured my business as long as I can use the consumables they offer. Thank you for being good to your customers. ... show more

  • Best value even over "cheaper" options
Pattern Name: Surfacing Bit Size: 1/4" Shank-1-3/8" Cut Dia. (2+2 Inserts)
Upgraded to this after using one of the super cheap surfacing bits off of amazon. This seems great for the money. It leaves a super clean surface unlike the cheap bits I used that seemed to leave a ton of tear out and a porous feeling when surfacing hard woods. This is actually substantially cheaper than the "cheap options as well" when you factor in that each blade can be used/rotated 4 times plus I might try and sharpen the blades after using all four sides as well. ... show more

  • Clean cuts
Pattern Name: Surfacing Bit Size: 1/4" Shank-1-1/2" Cut Dia. (2 Inserts)
Sharp and clean cuts. I replaced a more expensive one that did not have the options to use all four edges to extend life expectancy. Done 10-12 boards with the original edge, and expect it to last quite a bit longer. I use it mostly with walnut.

  • It will cut
Pattern Name: Surfacing Bit Size: 1/2" Shank-3" Cut Dia. (4 Inserts)
just used this in my router sled and the extra cutters, old one has 4, really make a difference. So much smoother on the cuts with the direction your traveling not really mattering to much beside weather the router wants to run or not. Spins nicely with little vibration and is really worth the money spent on it. ... show more
