Wow I can’t say enough good about this unit!! I went through the break in procedure and then off to rv site we went. We used this for 3 days straight in the Louisiana heat. It ran 2 acs and lights, wifi and tv with zero issues! This unit just barely sipped fuel as well. It’s a little on the heavy side so picking up by one person isn’t suggested but it rolls around uneven terrain with no issue! As far as the noise goes it’s a touch louder then I would like but that’s me being picky. It’s still pretty darn quiet! I opted for an inverter generator for the noise level. This is relatively quiet and puts out enough juice to power required items should the power go out. It weighs about a 100 pounds or so, so I can carry it need be, but the wheels work fine on anything but the roughest ground. Haven't put a lot of hours on it, but plan to run it at least quarterly. I use a gas stabilizer and opt for non-ethanol gasoline. The manual said to use gas lower than 10% ethanol, but why not just use non-ethanol since it doesn't consume that much. It has enough power to run my refrigerator, lights and a couple of small space heaters if we lose power when its cold. Portability is great. ... show more

Just got mine today. I'll tell you I was a little sceptical, only because I've never heard of this brand before. This Gen wasn't my first choice, I was going to buy the Wen 5000 but Amazon raised the price on it $147.00 it in one day, making it cost prohibitive. So, looking at other Gens I found this little JEWEL which was cheaper than the Wen by almost $100.00 before the price raise. $549.00 with a $50.00 off coupon. After unboxing it and installing it in a storage box on the back of my travel trailer, adding oil and gas, I set the choke to on and with a half pull on the cord it fires right up. I gotta say I was impressed at how easy it started. It came with a set battery cables, but no battery. Haven't figured out why it needs one yet, but I will. But, what impressed me more was how SUPER QUITE it is. I had a Westinghouse Gen 3000 that I've been using for the last two camping seasons, but, it was way too noisy for my liking...and other campers around me. Portability and maneuverability isn't important to me, quite was. And this little Jewel is all that. As for it operating the appliances. Air conditioner, lights, fridge and tv under full power, and under ECO mode....i'mma give it five stars. Ran the microwave with everything on under full load, it was a little too much of a draw for that. But, thats not a deal breaker for me, just shut the air off while using it. I'm gonna put it to the real test in a couple of weeks on a camp trip. Bottom line folks. For the price and the operation you can't go wrong with this Generator I highly recommend it!! ... show more

Worked good for 25 days then started bogging down and shutting off.checked oil,air filter.Shop said it’s not reving up on a load and shuts off.Electric problem.Shipper offered to pay me $50.00,would not take it back Amazon customer service very poor,everyone I talked to gave me the run around

I love this generator it is extremely quiet and you are able to keep conversations without having to yell over the sound. It works amazingly. We have had this for a few years now and have never had a problem with it. The best generator that we have purchased. It can run on a full tank of gas for about 14 hours. It's a fine little generator right now. Easy to start, not to awful difficult to maneuver around, and very quite. The problem I experienced was after starting I plugged my voltmeter in a socket and it read 142 volts. I attempted to get ahold of Builthard USA at their toll free number and being late it went to voicemail. No problem, try again tomorrow. It went to voicemail all day long. Left a message and they never have responded. In the mean time I read a article on batteries getting weak in a volt meter would give out of sync readings. Replaced the batteries and the generator was fine. Voltage right on the nose, where it should be. Hope to never need to use the warranty on this unit, their not home! ... show more

Followed the included start up instructions and was pleasantly surprised when the generator fired up on the first rotation. After it came to life and settled into a smooth idle I was shocked at how quiet this thing is. Powered my house no problem, lights, furnace, fridge. Cant beat it for the money!

I have a gutter business and bought this to put in my work trailer. I have used it consistently about 5 days a week for the last 6 weeks. It has worked flawlessly. Runs great. Starts every time. Super happy so far. I hope it lasts. For the money and savings versus some of the other brands, I think I made a good decision so far. If you are considering buying one, I would go for it. The only thing that got me a little is that the battery wires were already hooked to the battery, and I did not realize at first that I had to plug the connector in. Follow the positive and negative wires connected to the battery and you will see you have to plug it into another wire. Once I figured that out, it has been smooth sailing. ... show more
