I don't remember when I actually bought this thing I got it on 7/6 opened it up and got it ready to run, manual says to use dinosaur 10/w30, I had some synthetic blend (90% dinosaur,10 % synthetic, that is fact!) followed manual word for word, I did put a little motorkote in the cylinder, to avoid a dry start, fired on first pull, sputtered a little until the motorkote burned out, after that smooth as glass, connecterd a floor fan and shop light on econ, of course no issue, today 7/11/23, cranked it (first pull) it will actually start before the rope is pulled all the way, when that happens it will snatch the rope out of your hand, now I don't use such a hard pull, I have a small fridge and freezer hooked up, again on economy, opened both of 'em long enough to kick the compressors on, when that happened the generator kicked up r.p.m for 30 seconds, ever since then not even a whimper, it has been running since 16:45, now 21:00,(don't understand military time, join the Army) yesterday I put 28oz of, gas in it, it ran out in 2hrs (min load) today 56oz.it has been running 41/2 hours, it will probably run another 30 min, , .825 of a quart= 2 hrs, at this time 1.75 quarts 4 1/2 hrs, but a little more load, so I would guess 8 hrs on 1/2 load, maybe 7 1/2 hours at 75%, which is fine with me since I will tie another 2500 to it, I am a stickler on care of internal combustion engines, they will last as long as long as you want them to with proper maintenance and care. 1200 bucks for a Honda, not me, you can buy three of these for $1200, it is beginning to sputter a little so I will say 41/2 hrs on 56oz of gas or a quart for a little bit longer, I won"t leave gas sitting in it, ethanol absorbs water, so the water sinks to the bottom of the carburetor bowl, it turns into a crusted up mess, when that happens the carburetor is destroyed, no way to clean all that out of jets, you can soak it for a month, wont help, rebuild kit, waste of money, same with mowers and any small gas engine, leave that gas in 'em, next season it ain't gonna start, trust me!!, that is all the review, good night and good luck! up date, yesterday filled with gas, hooked to the window unit a/c in my shop, started it at 12:30 pm, I came back home at 10:30 pm it was still running, don't know how much gas is left in it, will find out. tomorrow 7/18 I live in South Alabama, Hurricane season is on us, been using this to run my freezer and small fridge just to judge how well it will do, I also run the a/c in my shop, it will kick up and down some but never struggles, I certainly expect it to do it's job in case of a hurricane,I will be counting on it to run the fridge and freezer. at least the fridge, gotta have cold beer during a hurricane! I have a bigger generator to run the rest of the house, unless it blows away. up date, used it several times to run my smoker, not a big test but good excercise, it has run a total of 14hrs on a tank of gas, smoker isn't a real big test but it does draw 1500 watt when heating,I am so impressed with this I am gonna buy another one, no reason, just want to have two ... show more

  • Had a QA issue, but works great other than that
Size: 2500W
Received the Generator in January 9th, took it out of the box just to look at it, but couldn't start it up or anything due to work on the 9th and 10th. Come Saturday the 11th, I was able to go out and get out and fuel and start doing the break in period. Break in period went great for the 5 hours, changed oil tested a load with a 1500watt space heater ran great. I didn't drain the fuel nor did I have fuel stabilizer on that first day, Figured sitting 1 week it should be fine. The following weekend I installed an hour meter to better track my maintenance schedule and added fuel stabilizer. To test the meter and to circulate the fuel stabilizer I tried starting the generator but I had a hard time to get it to start and it sounded like it was running rough and would die if I tried to run a load on it. I got it to run for 15-20 mins so at least I knew I got the fuel stabilizer circulated and put I back in storage for another week. That next weekend I couldn't get it to start at all figured maybe I let the fuel sit too long in the carb and maybe it's a more sensitive carb, took apart the carb everything looked pristine (as it should for a fairly new generator), double check that the electric governor was working and allowing air, which it was. Didn't have a spark plug socket so couldn't remove that to test for spark, but at least knew it was getting fuel and air. This time I drained the fuel from the carb properly and put into storage for 1 more week. This final weekend I went and got the spark plug socket and removed the spark plug which of course had some slight carbon build up (I ran it for over 5.5 hours at this point), but otherwise looked like it was in great condition, tried testing for spark against the casing, but as expected there was no spark (as previously mentioned I already double checked for fuel and air). This is when I started making the decision, buy a new spark plug (which I didn't think was the issue), contact the manafacture (which from other reviews could be a hit or miss), or try to fix myself. So me being the fairly basic handyman I am I decided to try to fix it myself, so here I go taking the outside covering off the generator to be able to follow the spark plug wiring as I thought just maybe something came loose while installing the hour meter. As I was taking the side off that has the recoil start string a wire came undone, so I was like great another loose wire as it didn't appear to be a wire that was apart of the spark plug circuit plugged it back in and made sure it was clipped and seated properly. I went ahead and put it enough back together to give it a shot at starting. AND BAM IT STARTS ON FIRST PULL! Put it back together started it up again and let it run for a few more minuted, sounds great. Put that 1500watt load back on it and stayed running for over 30 mins. Great it's fixed, but somewhere along installation at the factory, during shipping, moving it in and out of storage, a wire that has a clip came unclipped and came loose. This comes down to me believing it was a quality assurance issue where the plug was not fully clipped in place. Will update the review if I end up having any further issues, for now the generator is great for the price, but as can happen with anything that is cheaper you could run into issues. Nice and quiet and runs exactly what I need it to. ... show more
