Following a small accident, I discovered a hole in the intercooler and switched it out. Unfortunately, the car was still leaking boost and I wasn't able to locate it. Within 10 minutes of this kit arriving I had it hooked up and had discovered an additional leak in the second IC. Some have reported the bungs popping when pressurized, but no indication of the pressure needed to do so. I only needed to run a few psi to locate the issue but the bungs held up to 1 bar without compromise. I did clean the oil from the inside of the pipes before connecting, which may have helped. Perhaps if you're testing for very high boost leaks, then the smooth bungs may prove insufficient. Someone also mentioned that once the air fitting is screwed in to the regulator, it no longer fits the case. As I've had to do with other air-tools, I made a small hole in the side to accomodate.

Is it a $300 set? No does it work absolutely I found my turbo leak in 5 minutes after I opened the box it's a good working kit at a fair price

These would be better if they had a lip on the ends that go in the hose so that it would grip better. I put mine in and it blew off and I tightened the clamp very good.

Nice Kit, comes with clamps and variety of sizes for the turbo pipes. Was able to find a big leak on a Mercedes Benz Sprinter Diesel. Only 4 stars because once the air fitting is installed on the regulator it doesn’t fit inside the box anymore. So I had to cut a slot on the box to make it fit with the air fitting

I used this on a vehicle with a boost leak and was able to easily find the leak with the help of this product. I had no idea what I was doing but with little help from forums I was able to hook this up correctly and fix the boost leak.

It’s hard to find a boost leaks when the boost leak testing kit leaks. I had to disassemble these cones and pipe dope all the connections because they were leaking out of the port threads.

As a professional automotive technician I am always looking for quality tools at reasonable prices. A tool set like this is not something I use everyday so I'm not interested in purchasing a name brand kit for 3 times the price. Every BILITOOL brand tools I've acquired has been top notch and these are no different. These will work well with the air regulator and gauge as intended but I use them primarily with my smoke machine instead. The assortment of diameters work great for air intake pipes / boots for finding intake leaks with smoke. The plugs are stepped in sizes and may be difficult to use on rigid plastic pipes but should be perfect for rubber ones. The set contains 2 sets of plugs. One set has quick connect fittings for the gauge hose and the other set is for plugging the other end of the system. The set is stored in a blow molded case with secure latches to keep everything organized. No tool is 100% universal and the usefulness of this tool may vary depending on your particular application. For my use, the price and the quality of this tool I give it 5 stars.
