All 5 had the same problems. Immediately noticed the heatsink was sitting at a slight angle. The back side with the fins was bowed out slightly and not touching. There was no thermal paste on any of them. The front chip side was at an angle and only partially making contact with the driver chip at just a corner. No thermal paste on this side either. This was immediately returned for a replacement which had thermal compound/adhesive. The heatsink design is pretty poor and has the same misfit on the chip side. Luckily since it has thermal compound on both sides it does transfer heat out. The chip side isn't too critical for heat, since the back side is primarily where heat is designed to go. Fit is VERY snug in the sockets from both packs. Could be the socket on the BTT SKR 3 EZ board or just that these drivers are thicker than they should be. Over all, when they're made correctly they work fine. Running temps seem to hover around 55C. Silent control works when configured. All 5 running fine since purchase. Configured as E, X, Y, Z1, and Z2.

They are standups as opposed to lying down, thus saving board real estate. They are unable to seat improperly and cause harm to the mainboard. They come with built-in heatsinks. Good little modular guys.

Easy to install device, good product for use with 3D printers, however, it might be expedient to buy 2 packages to ensure you get your printer running immediately when you get the TMC communication error on boot for one of the failed parts.

I purchased the EZ2209, and used the carrier boards that they come with to install on a BTT Octopus PRO. Overall work very well, the only problem is that sensor-less homing will NOT work with the EZ2209 when installed via the provided carrier board. The carrier board does not have the DIAG pin necessary to get sensor-less homing working. I am not sure if the EZ2209 supports sensor-less homing on a board that takes the native EZ form factor (such as the SKR EZ), but it cannot work via the carrier board - the pin is not provided. Had to purchase a couple of regular (non-EZ) 2209s for my X/Y axis drivers to get sensor-less homing working.

Went to get my custom printer running only to find out that I got a bad driver right from the get go. Now I’m stuck waiting another two days before I can get it running. Extremely disappointed by this! I had a job that needed to start in the morning. Now I have to tell my customer their parts will be late. Who tests these things!!
