Description

All well-loved bean bags go flat with use, but not to worry! You can order our handy Two Pack bean refill to bring your awesome Big Joe back to life whenever you need to. Our virgin polystyrene beans are 100% recyclable. Each bag in the two pack contains 75 liters of rejuvenating beans. The amount of beans you need will depend on the size of your chair and how flat it is: small chairs may need 1-2 bags, while larger chairs may need 3-4. For child safety and durability reasons, all Big joe bean filled chairs have two zippers with their pulls intentionally removed before shipment. To open your Big Joe, place a paperclip into the first zipper head, pull to open, and then repeat on the second zipper. Detailed instructions can be found on the warning label attached to your Big Joe. And, you can use our refill packs for other reasons: packing material, arts and crafts, you name it!

Thai is more how I refill bag. Big joe Milano. I had put several softener sheets into chair and shook. Then carefully poured old beans into trash bags. I washed cover in machine on gentle wash, short cycle. Once with soap, once with water only. Put in dryer on air fluff. Then a few mins very low heat. Back to air fluff. Then put in sun for a few hours. The new beans, I put about an ounce of baby powder and a few dryer sheet in each bag, only cutting small hole. Shake ,shake, shake. I had a qt container,( larger than a solo red cup, but that would work too), cut out the bottom. Lined it with the dryer sheets, taping the ends to the outside of container. Using the big box that the beans came in as support, my husband held the bag inside the box. That way if it was dropped bean’s would fall in box, not across the floor. I taped the sheet lined container to the bean bag, only having the zipper opened 5 inches. For the refill bags, I taped a paper coffee cup with the bottom cut out, to the bag. Not using plastic, thinking that would cause static as the beans ran thru. Starting pouring, as I poured, I grabbed the softener sheets didn’t let them travel into the chair. Thought the smell would be too strong to leave in chair. Pour, gently jiggle chair, repeat about 6 times. About halfway thru, we took chair out of box so we could fill completely. For this size chair, we used both of the bags of new beans and about a bags worth of old beans. Before, the chair was pretty flat, now full. If I dropped any beans, I’d mist some water over them so they wouldn’t dance all over garage. In the end , had to vacuum up perhaps a hundred beans. Use a Dustbuster.     • Works great but impossible to use all of it

I have a regular size big joe I got on sale from Walmart and LOVE IT but after 6ish months it went so flat it won't sit by itself. This did a great job refilling it, but it also won't let you "overfill" it to be firmer which is what I was hoping. This is due to the nature of the stryofoam balls - they just conduct static so well they're impossible to remove entirely from the bag and impossible to rearrange inside the beanbag efficiently, especially without creating a huge mess. But it's still very comfortable, especially when you rearrange it to your comfort when you sit. If you follow the instructions and are VERY CAREFUL not to cut the hole too big, like I'd honestly go small and open it more if you need it, and go slow it's very easy to use and refill your bag with. Especially with the dual zippers, since you can adjust them to either side if you have a paperclip in each one. You WILL need a second person though, or something you can support the big joe in while you refill it, since it flops over you're getting the beads EVERYWHERE. As long as you don't get them all over yourself, you can easily vacuum them up as well. Just use them in as open an area inside your home as you can. DO NOT DO THIS OUTSIDE, both for environmental reasons and because even the slightest gust will make you lose aaaallllll the little balls, and as mentioned earlier you'll need every one you can effectively get out to refill your bag. ... show more

OK so this stuff WILL get on your floor. Not might, not if you're careful it doesn't, but WILL. BUT.. it is GREAT! I have 2 Big Joe's I bought from Walmart about a year ago and they were looking like a sad face emoji so I bought this product. Mind you I was very careful but was able to fill the one in my Pic alone by taking my time and focusing on filling the back compartments first, and going from there. Shaking the bean bag gently to guide the beans where they need to go. My son helped me with my second one by holding the bag while I filled. One of these bags filled both of my bean bags with a little bit left over and I really put as much as I could in each of my 2 bean bags. I purchased 2 bean fillers and put the 2nd aside with the little bit left over from the 1st, so when they need a boost again I'm ready! I would definitely recommend this product if you would like to bring your Big Joe back to original purchase condition. ... show more

Works great! It takes 2 of these to fill average big (not giant) bean bag chair. I googled how to fill without making a giant mess, the bottomless cup method worked great.

Super messy, but does the job for a bean bag. You’ll have to vacuum it up afterwards because the little pellets will be everywhere. But so far so good! It’s been two months of my bean bag being filled and she’s still sturdy.

My daughters beanbag was on the floor. Now it’s back full. I’ll suggest the following: -do it outside -turn bean bag upside down if it’s a chair style and shake all the beads to the bottom then fill . - get help. Have someone to open the beanbag while another person pour. - beads are soft. - one bag is enough i didn’t use the full bag either . -UPS delivered . Big box but it’s light as a feather . A few beads were out but that’s expected Overall- satisfied and now the chair is back plush :) ... show more
