Nothing like a wood-fired pizza from Italy, but this is the next best thing at home. This wedge has been a game-changer for me when using my Big Green Egg to grill pizzas. Works great! Best addition to the BGE, it works seamlessly, retains heat in the dome it creates well, was able to dial anything from 400 to 700-800 degrees easily by dialing the lower air intake on the BGE, works as well as my real pizza oven just easier and faster to light, the only caveat is you may need to use a smaller pizza peel as a large one would be difficult to maneuver through the reduced opening ... show more

    • Nice idea - looks like it would simulate a real pizza oven, but be careful.
Been a BGE user for 15+ Years, so I know what I'm doing as much as the next person. This really looked promising. However, it's a little difficult and almost dangerous to use. Keep in mind, when doing pizza you'll want to get the egg somewhere around 500 degrees or higher. After that happens, you install these wedge. Wear special gloves because you need to balance them on the gasket. Okay so far, but Now the lid is open for at least 15 minutes, and the egg is super hot, so a tremendous amount of smoke and flames are emitted from the egg. Like forrest fire level of smoke. I had to wear goggles and a mask because I found it very difficult to see and breathe while using. Not something I plan on using again. ... show more
