    • Great bang for the buck stand.
Start with the bad, bolt kit, horrible. Did not match the instructions which made assemble tougher than neccesary. Im handy still got it done in about an hour and a half with my parts. And yes upgraded steel. Install was easy. Slapped it on a big pine and will be adding cup and trinket holders, pool noodle backing an dsee how long the seat lasts, will replace with boat style padded seat.     • Uncomfortable and difficult to set up
The instructions are pretty bad with this. Poor images and explanation so you’ll need to be somewhat intuitive to figure it out. Best to organize the screws ahead of time so you know which ones to use. I’ve set up about 8 tree stands. This one was the hardest. It was extremely difficult to get the seat crossbars installed properly. Once I got it in the tree and secured, I sat down and this is a terrible design. The seat is split in two by the bar down the middle so you are forced to sit on one side or the other. Additionally, the back crossbar comes across right at mid back and forces you to sit straight up or hunched forward. There’s no leaning back or this digs into your back. Sat in it for about an hour after I got set up and found that I was constantly repositioning and no matter what, always uncomfortable. Moving in the stand should be kept to a minimum to not alert deer. Wish I would have read more reviews about this before purchasing as I would have bought one for more money to not deal with this all. Wish I could return it, but alas. It’s in the tree and I’ll wait until I can longer tolerate this one anymore and buy a better one and throw this one away. I also have not measured but this sure as heck doesn’t seem like 18’. Seems more like 14….like they forgot a ladder section, but the box was packaged like new. If you’re on a budget go for it. But don’t expect to be comfortable. I’d advise spending a little more to get something better. Took a ton of effort but I was able to set this up and in the tree alone. But I’d advise 2 people. ... show more

    • Awesome stand on a budget
I needed a double stand so I could hunt with my son but didnt have $300+ so I rolled dice on this one and it is awesome! It isnt going to be a luxury stand by any means and some components are a touch cheesy but for the price it goes together easy and works great for us thats why it got 5 stars! Seat was tricky to put together and is extremely weird how they have it and 11mm wrench is really weird for assembly but those are my only real complaints, but again for under $200 its a 5 star product all day. would definitely purchase again!!!! ... show more

Stand is good but a little small. Several people said it’s hard to assemble but it’s not, just leave the bolts loose until it’s all together then tighten everything down. One nut was missing. Seats are pretty comfortable. If you plan on two people hunting out of the stand get a bigger one but it’s good for one person ... show more

used this for hunting in florida and so far it works great, had 2 people in it for 5 hours without a problem, just know it takes about an hour to set up so don't just bring the box out to the field and expect to hunt right away.

    • Required modifications to build
This review is based mostly on construction quality and the build process. The shape of the seat bar ends made it so they had to be bent in order to match up with where they were supposed to mount. The Seat Support had the hole drilled though in the wrong direction meaning I needed to drill a new hole in order to complete assembly, Yes I tripple checked the directions to make sure I wasn't looking at it wrong. Some of the holes were not fully open either, when they cut the holes out they did not fully clear the opening so the bolts wouldn't actually go through all the way until that was done. The rest of it went together ok. One annoying feature is that there are 8 different sized bolts used in this construction and they are all just in a bag together. You'll want to spend a moment organizing the bolts before you start. Once I built it and placed it in a tree it felt ok, not super stable. I did have a second person climb up into it as well. Our combined weight was 340, I don't know that I would trust taking this closer to it's max of 500. The ladder was bowing with our combined weight (yes the supports were installed correctly). I think it will be fine for just me for what I bought it for, but with this being a cheaper stand, that is the quality you should be expecting. ... show more
