This stand is for price point only purchasers. If seating comfort is not a concern this will work fine. With that said I'm not a big man, this seat is TINY and not comfortable to use, the platform is a good size tho so I kept it as there are times it will work and as I said it is inexpensive so you can afford to buy a few to set up around your favorite hunting area ... show more

This tree stand has become one of my favorites. It’s super easy to put together, only takes 5 minutes of inserting and tightening some nuts and bolts and you’re ready to go. It’s fairly light weight and I can sit in it for multiple hours every comfortably. The footrest is a big plus especially at this price point! The flip up swat mikes it very nice to stand up to stay in the stand longer or to stand up to take your shot! The only this I wish was better was how it attaches to the tree. It uses only one strap, I always add a ratchet strap for additional security. I own four of these stands now and will purchase more. ... show more

    • Buy something else. Stay safe!
I have put together a dozen different hanging stands over the past 40 years. This was the hardest one to assemble. The brace that goes underneath the seat was to large to fit within the seat braces. I mean not even close … I don’t know how it ever got out of the factory. The seat material is simply a thin nylon mesh which I suspect will be shredded by rodents, or split after being exposed to the elements for any length of time. I will call customer service tomorrow to see if they can supply a seat support that actually fits. Be cautious when assembling there are many screws that are similar in length and diameter. One wonders why they did not make all the bolts the same size vs 4 sets of nearly identical bolts. Also, there is only the single strap to attached it to a tree. That strap cannot be ratcheted down, only hand tightened. Unless you bring a parachute, do not use a tree stand with only a single hand-tightened strap. That being the case you may as well compute the cost of at least 2 ratchet stamps into the cost of the stand. So … the stand is not the bargain you may think. Update - I called the company and explained about the malformed seat brace. They sent me a brand new stand at no charge. Apparently there were no spare parts to send me, so I got an entire stand. Despite all it’s faults the stand is usable, so long as you use additional ratchet straps and the company did step up when the time came. ... show more

Overall for the cost, it is a decent stand with a large platform and lightweight to carry. Assembly was interesting - Had to get the bottle car jack to spread the seat enough to install the brace. Just glad it didn't break a weld. The seat is quite narrow and at 165# the foot platform is pretty soft between the two horizontal braces. Has more give than I was expecting. ... show more

This is very obviously a budget stand. Will it physically work? Yes. However it will also probably not last more than a few years of active use, and is a bit squeaky when set up. Also comes with missing hardware ofte (2 out of 3 has a few missing screws) If you can't afford to spend any more, it'll be fine. If you want a good quality stand that will last many years then just spend a little more on a good name stand. ... show more

Assembled this post deer season and hung it from a tree in the back yard to get a feel for it. I'm 250 lbs and there's a little bit of squeaking from the floor flexing that i'll overcome with some rubberized under body auto spray. The welds are solid and it included nylon washers to silence the moving parts, the seat is VERY comfortable and silent to raise and lower. The foot area is more than generous making for a great platform to bow hunt from- can't wait to try it next season ... show more

    • Fix the squeak everyone's talking about
A lot of people are saying that the platform squeaks and it does to remedy this Put on a bottom ratchet strap from the platform frame Not from the seat uprights. If it still squeaks tighten Up on the ratchet strap a little more. No need for lubs That simple Good luck out there everybody
