  • PrimaLoft Silver Insulation working with a heat reflective barrier traps body heat and reflects it back, so you stay comfortable as the temperatures drop. Sleeping on frozen ground? Increase thermal insulation by adding a Big Agnes Closed-Cell Foam Pad.
  • The Rapide SL pads are built with a quilted top that provides a cushioned pillowy sleeping surface. The proprietary offset I-Beam construction reduces weight and provides consistent stability and comfort. They are 3.5 thick with 4.25 larger outer chambers that keep you comfortably cradled in the middle of the pad. Built of durable, superlight double rip-stop nylon fabric with aviation grade TPU lamination that provides ultimate weld strength and dependability.
  • The high-volume valves with micro adjustments make for fast inflation/deflation and easy fine tuning to your preferred firmness. A pad inflation sack to make inflation a breeze is included with your pad purchase and is made from upcycled excess pad material. (Color of the sack will vary depending on excess material.) Protective storage sack, replacement valve seal and 3M repair patches also included with your pad.

The Big Agnes Rapide SL is a very comfortable sleeping pad. It makes some noise when you move around on it, but it much quieter than many other ones. The material is very durable, and it doesn't feel like it is at risk of rupturing every time you move. I'm 6 feet tall, 280 pounds and a side sleeper. This pad keeps me off the floor, even when I lay completely on my side. My only complaint is that it takes a little longer to inflate with the included bag than you'd think. I’ve used several sleeping pads over the years. Xtherm, klymit, Nemo to name a few. I had been most happy with the Nemo but I was looking for even better/lighter. Then the Rapide SL came into my life. The sides are a bit higher which keeps you on the pad. It also comes in a short version which is perfect for my 5’2” self. So for a short regular pad I’m looking at 18oz without the stuff sack and the most comfortable nights sleep I’ve ever had while backpacking.
