These BIC Gel-ocity Gel Pens are my current favorite writing pen. I especially like the gel-type pens for the clear, dark, and distinctive ink that presents a great impression. ought were optimum. I used them for a number of years until I unexpectedly ran short one day, and scrambled to find and buy one of these BIC units when I couldn't find my original brand. I was quite surprised to find that the BIC unit outperformed my previous favorite, and I've continued to use these ever since. I usually order a dozen at a time but I go through them steadily. The price on these seems to vary, since there has been times when I needed to order but was surprised that the price was quite expensive, and other times when the price was quite reasonable. My last order was for a little less than a buck a pen, and I feel that's a very fair price for the performance I get. These pens last quite a while with just intermittent use, but if you write steadily they will deplete the ink more quickly than your normal ballpoint pen. That seems to be consistent with all gel pens, because all three brands that I have used share that same characteristic. I believe the ink is a "thicker" product, and this design pen lays down more of it--that's the reason the appearance is so dark and distinctive. It's a price I'm willing to pay for the other benefits of the gel system.

Dry quickly, almost never smudges!

Work perfectly, and I don’t need to worry about smudging my writing all the time! Comfortable enough, no actual grip but still nice. My new favorite pens. Ink comes out consistently, not too much or too little. Use them alot and none have run out of ink yet.

These are my favorite pens. They have very dark black gel, dry very fast for no smearing which is important because I'm left handed. The pens aren't too heavy, very comfortable to write with for long periods of time, like journaling.

Ordered a box of 12 pens, but only re'd 11.

The product is fine - but when I opened the Amazon pkg (that included several items) the box of pens was opened and had spilled out into the package - I ordered a box of 12 but received 11.
