  • Love it
Size: 6-Cup
The best espresso coffee maker for stovetop. It isn’t made in China but Italy. Follow the instructions you cannot use soap to clean it has to be hot water and a sponge nothing else. Dry it with a kitchen towel inside or use paper towels to dry and use a towel to dry and shine the outside. Makes a nice cup of espresso or if you want you can heat up some cows milk or goat milk then add the espresso to it and coconut sugar. Enjoy! :-) ... show more

  • Just what we wanted!
Size: 10
While in Italy, we started using a small aluminum version of these every morning so that we had a full cup of coffee, rather than the little espresso cups you get at bakeries. It took four pots, two for each of us. So we decided to look for a stainless and larger version when we got home. It’s great, my husband has become a real pro. I was concerned about which coffees to use, but we experimented and know what works for us. These use a lot more coffee than an electric coffee maker, but the result is so much better! I think it helps to start with a YouTube video how-to, then customize to your taste. I’ve seen several reviews that say you shouldn’t clean these. Ugh. I guess if you want the taste of old grounds and don’t mind your pot getting grimy, you can, but we prefer clean. And the coffee is great. It’s all a matter of tastes. This is perfect for us. We just pre-boil the water in an electric pot, and set the bottom on a potholder so it can be safely screwed together with the water and the coffee basket. We also got a new coffee bean grinder so we get the grind correct for this unit, which is a little more coarse than what we used in Italy. That’s it. Enjoy! ... show more

  • Another Great Way to Brew!
Size: 4-Cup
I love everything about coffee and its history. I like to brew coffee using various methods that have stood the test of time. That doesn't mean I'll roast beans over a campfire, then crush the beans with the butt of a rifle, and boil the crap out of the coffee over said campfire, but I digress. Recently purchased this, Bialetti Musa 4 cup, and was quite disappointed at first. Sputtering, gurgling, almost from the start. I knew something wasn't right, because I've had a moka pot from the past, and it didn't have this problem. So I perused videos of moka pot problems and found out that I simply wasn't screwing the halves together strongly enough. I thought I had done so, because I was basing that amount of tightness on my previous moka pot. Well, that wasn't enough. I really have to screw the halves together to the point where it is completely screwed down. Voila, no more sputtering and gurgling. A nice silent brew of coffee into the upper chamber. So, I really do enjoy this Bialetti Musa and the coffee it produces! I pour the contents into a Bodum, double walled glass, and sometimes add a bit of sugar, sometimes not. The flavor is there, and it's delicious! I also want to add, that I do take apart the Musa, including removing the silicone gasket and metal filter, and wash them, then air dry on the counter. It's stainless steel, so there's no point in not using detergent to clean the oils that each brew creates. Why not five stars? Mainly due to having to really crank down on screwing the halves together. This is because the milling for the lower chamer needs to be dead even with the coffee funnel top edge. If they are not dead even/level, you have to screw really tight against the silicone gasket to compensate for that half millimeter of difference between the funnel top and the lower chamber top. But once that has been attained, you'll have a silent brew up to the correct point when the gurgling and sputtering indicate the brew cycle is done. ... show more

  • Great product

It is easy to clean; it is simple to use. It makes a great cup of percolated wakefulness with minimal effort and time. Great product for the espresso dilettante.

  • Having fun with it!
Size: 6-Cup
I just received this evening. Already made 3 pots to discard and then 1 pot to drink. It's so much fun to play with this little pot and it is so cute. I have the 6 cup version and used it with Aeropress filter on my first good batch. I made some foamed milk to put in very easily. It is close enough to an espresso machine for me and doesn't take a bunch of space. No regrets so far. ... show more
