We purchase this for our 3 and 4 year old and things aren’t going as planned yet. Our 4 year old finally slept on the top bunk two nights ago but it took almost 3 weeks for her to give that challenge a whirl. Tonight she didn’t want too and ended up sleeping in my bed until I moved her. The bunk bed is great for the price and nice and low so I’m case they fall off it would hurt half as bad. My packages were delivered very quickly and everything inside was in perfect condition. The frame itself came together easily enough and the instructions were clear. Finished product is very sturdy and looks wonderful. One star knocked off for the difficulty of putting together the slats and reinforcement brackets. While everything else had convenient holes drilled and very clear placements marked, these did not. The instructions mention the possibility of using power tools, but the necessary placements were too close to junctions to fit my drill in. I had to manually drive every screw into place with a regular Phillips head- blister city! I also recommend getting out a pencil and ruler, especially for the wheels on the trundle (or drawers if that's what you've got). Build time as an amateur working on my own was 2h for the main structure, and another 2.5h for the slats and trundle. ... show more

I am a 56 yrs old petite lady and I installed it alone. I did not have anybody to hold etc..but used some books, and chairs :) ...anyway, I managed to put it together alone. Yay! :) All the screws etc. necessary for the installation are there ...at first, I thought the nr.3,5,6 were missing, but I found them all in one little bag. It took me (alone)around 3 hours to put it together. It seems to be sturdy. The mattress (from the photo) is twin>8 inches, and the bed risers are 6 inches; it was delivered on time & in good condition. Thanks. ... show more

Overall for the price it’s okay. Unfortunately the wood it’s made from is very cheap as it has chips in it. If this is for everyday use it will not last long as it’s not the sturdiest. There were no holes for the wooden slats on the frame so I had to make my own. Some of the wooden slats were shorter than others so I had to adjust it accordingly. The parts were labelled by letter, but each of the 3 boxes had some of each letter, so it took over an hour to organize them all in a way that could be quickly and efficiently found for assembly. Many of the long wood beams were bending -a lot The item was missing parts when it arrived. I tried assembling it anyways to see if I could just skip it... only to find the pre-drilled holes on the first main support beam were deeper than the screws provided, so it would not hold up at all if there was any lateral shift. Item is being returned. For $700 (and a week waiting for arrival), this was very disappointing. ... show more
