Really great car, easy to use, and drive. Even let my toddler take a turn and they were able to use it without any problem. Probably still a little too fast for that age, but will be great when they get older. Great starter car to get into RC racing.

This car is fast, durable and can handle rough driving. Only issue I found is that if you purchase this. The servo horn is advertised as "After several tests found that the horn breaks easily" the screws snap quickly also. Now I have upgraded a lot of parts with metal ones. That made it handle better and now it's worth the money. I don't recommend this car if you don't want to upgrade the parts. But if you do upgrade the parts. 100% recommend. I have it 4 stars cause the warranty is for 90 days. But if you use the warranty. I had customer service email me and say that once a part is claimed on the warrenty. They don't warranty anything else. (With the servo horn being easy to break and the screws snapping inside the parts easily) that makes me think the company doesn't stand by their parts at "durable" All this aside I purchased 2. I liked them so much I purchased a 3rd. All three I upgraded all the plastic parts to metal ones. Update: This rc car it's a great rc car but I did further research. This is the exact same car as the hyper go brand. The hyper go is cheaper, more accessible parts, sells metal parts so you don't have to worry about breaking the parts as much (if at all). I'm removing 4 stars and replacing with 3 due to the fact the parts break fast and it's very hard to get replacement parts from the company. If anything I'd go with the hyper go brand. Update: March 10, 2024. The company has sent out parts that has been broken. When I went to install the parts I found they use lock-tight on the fan to motor housing. That mixed with the screws being very easy to strip. It made it where is impossible to replace one part without breaking a second part. I'm not a fan of product that if you try to fix one thing it is rigged so you break another part. Also with the company personally emailing me and being willing to help replace the parts I'm raising the stars from 3 to 4. I don't feel this is with 5 stars due to the fact that the hardware is still cheap and lock-tight was used so you can't fix one thing without breaking another. ... show more

For the price, this did not last as it should! I purchased the additional Asurion insurance and tried to file a claim but they said it was still under manufacture warranty. It does not move like it should and manufacturer wants a video of the problem. Return is not as easy as I anticipated. Don’t waste your money! ... show more

This car is awesome. Fast and easy to control. I upgraded to 3s batteries and whoa, hold onto your hat. I did however get too confident and smashed into the neighbors mailbox full speed breaking many front end components. However, it is truly hobby grade and all parts are available, even aluminum upgrades which I opted for after my first crash (photo is after upgrades). My 9 yr old loves this. We have used it for 10 days, he is obsessed. The battery life is just enough that he has lots of fun, and we use it outside and inside all day. He crashes it into curbs and walls and it hasn't broken. It has a great high speed for his age, great quality parts, easy to use, all around one of the best RC cars we have ever seen. oh boy what a joy. this rc is by far the best one we got. as some folks says, the expensive you pay the better item you will get.. and it sure is. worth money spent. this rc is fast. when i check were the motor is, i can already assume this will be a beast and yep it ddnt prove me wrong. if you wanna spend a bit of money this will be worth it.. and it comes with an xtra battery. so u can keep rolling. ... show more

    • Great car, shorter shocks than HP161S, two 7.4v batteries compared to the 1 x 11.1v in the HP161S.
I bought this one hoping it was just a different color to the HP161S (green) (Both kids got one for Christmas so I wanted to differentiate) I guess I was in a bit of a rush when researching and didn't read the descriptions well enough. So here are some pertinent points This is a great car on its own no doubt, however compared to the HP161S, it varies slightly. It comes with two (2) 7.4v batteries 1050mah (The 161s comes with just 1, but its the bigger 11.1v 1050mah. This can be a blessing in some ways as it doesn't 'quite' have the crazy acceleration or top speed of the 161S... easier for starting out, and you can buy the 11.1v later separately. (Start on 70% throttle (switch on the controller - 100% needs much more careful throttle control)) (don't be fooled though, both these cars accelerate so fast you cannot use full throttle straight up, you have to ease it in else they will flip ! It's funny that they are 4wd, as most of the time accelerating they are on two wheels ! (4wd great to get out of dodgy conditions of course) Other big point is the shocks are shorter than the 161S, so ground clearance is about 15mm odd shorter. (you can buy the bigger shocks separately also) other than bodywork, all else seems the same. Be aware with both these , the hood pins disappear regularly (while in use! not just 'lost'). Stuffed if I know how, they seemed tight. Kids loose them almost each use. So I just bought a pack of 100 1/16th pins. If you hear a grating noise when turning, you haven't tucked the hood sides in, and the wheels are rubbing on it! Buying a fast charger for (2S & 3S) will be a good investment, as the std supplied USB charger takes 4hrs from flat. Get a good 15-20mins + with general driving (not full speed all the time obviously) Seems there are larger capacity batteries aftermarket that may fit... I will check them out later. All in all, love them, high quality, kids were super excited to get them. ... show more
