If you are looking for a starter drone, this well-made BD901 drone is a beginner-friendly drone. I purchased this drone to capture aerial footage and have been impressed with its performance. The BD901 is a foldable FPV drone that is compact, measuring just 6x4x3 inches, and comes with a carrying case for easy transportation. The battery and remote controller can also be conveniently stored in the case. Camera parameter - The camera on this drone is a 3-axis gimbal ultra high-definition 4K camera that ensures smooth and stable footage, even at high speeds. The EIS anti-shake system allows for breathtaking pictures, even in windy conditions. The camera angle is adjustable up to 120 degrees, allowing you to find the perfect angle for your shots. Transmission & flight time - The drone’s 5G Wi-Fi transmission system allows for a maximum flying range of 9850 feet, but it’s best to fly in spacious areas with minimal signal interference. The flight time is up to 25 minutes on a single battery charge. The BD901 also includes various beginner-friendly functions to ensure a safe flight.     • What about FAA required Remote I.D.?
Now that my BD901 is supposed to arrive today, I'll just noticed that it does NOT include the officially approved-by-FAA remote I.D. module, like some of the more mainstream drones do. So now I need to order one of those and either figure out how to plug it into onboard power or buy a module with its own onboard battery. This is required for any drone over 250 grams, such as this 400 gram aircraft, to legally fly in any US airspace, including around your back yard, over neighbor's houses, concerts, etc. The remote ID module will cost about the same price as the drone, or higher. Remember, you're also required to register this aircraft with the FAA on their purpose-built website, take the FAA Recreational UAS Safety Test (TRUST), place your FAA I.D. number on the drone, check the B4UFLY app before taking off, and be darn sure you stay below the 400' altitude limit as required by law for these devices. ... show more

I purchased this drone to learn how to fly. The drone had the features I wanted at a price point I was okay with spending. NOTE: to fly this drone legally, you will need to purchase a Remote ID tag and affix it to the drone. I purchased a Holy Stone Remote ID tag from Amazon which appeared to work well for $30. Taking the drone out of the package, the drone was as advertised, and operated well, but would not record photos or video to my android phone. I purchased a memory card hoping to resolve the problem, but even with the memory card, the drone will not save photos or video. The problem appears to be with the XDRONE app for android which Bezgar has you download to fly the drone. The app has several recent one-star reviews with people complaining that the app will not allow them to record photos or video. I have an email into Bezgar tech support to help resolve the problem. If the problem can not be resolved, I will be returning this drone and purchasing another. EDIT: I found another similarly priced drone on Amazon with similar features, so I returned this drone. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I am a first-time user, this drone is a great entry point with a lot of high-end features. The 4K camera resolution provides clear video quality, and I used day and night, especially useful for scenic shots and capturing details. It is really fun to fly, I am really exited about my new toy. I watched a video on You Tube on how to calibrate a drone, as again, I am new on drones world. The carrying case is also a plus which it very convenience. With a 3KM transmission range we are ready for the Florida outdoor adventures. ... show more

    • Horrible control
If you make it takeoff and then don't touch any controls, it just starts moving in some direction on its own. This makes it impossible to control indoors without crashing into something.
