I recently purchased a knee-length sweater with a hood and pockets in black cashmere. It is a "cardigan" but had no buttons or buttonholes, so it just hangs open. I started searching for "frogs" thinking I would end up purchasing the ones made from fabric cord - then I saw these. Wow! I love that they look "vintage" and that they came in a "matte" finish. I'm not a "blingy" person - don't like gold or silver buttons or buttons that don't match the garment. They were easy to sew on and look really great.
