  • A good ice bath, especially if you're traveling with it
Color: Black
This is quite a light package! And out of the few ice tub baths I have used, this is the only one that came with a patch repair kit, which is nice to have just in case. This tub also has the best directions out of the few I have seen in this price range. In the pictures it shows a hand pump, but this came with one of those foot pumps that I've never had much luck with. I prefer using an electric pump anyway, but there is little enough to blow up that could even do it with your breath. Don't blow too hard like I did, though... it will plug your ears and give a headache. Other tubs I've used have a one-way valve for filling, which is great. These are the regular smaller valves and especially if you choose to blow it up by mouth, you have to pinch the valve in the right place with your teeth in order for air to be allowed in. The tub isn't going to be a perfect circle when you first blow up the ring. Being sure to get enough air in (don't overpump and bust a seam!) will help. I don't know why the put a plug in the bottom and a drain on the side, but that's how they're made. THe drain attaches directly to the side of the tub, and that expandable hose is so you can direct water away from the tub area. You also get two lids: one with an inflatable edge and another with a stretchy edge that you pull over the tub. The inflatable one is small enough to fit inside the tub and the other, of course, stretches over the top - it's especially good for keeping leaves, etc., out of the water. The "Thermo lid"... is to help keep the water cold?? One unique thing I like about the poles on this tub are one end is rounded, which helps significantly in putting them into the slots. The holes where you put the poles are reinforced, which is a nice touch that not all tubs have. That together with the rounded ends of the poles makes me not worry that the tub is going to stretch or tear when I'm setting it up. Another design feature I like is that there are eight support poles; the last tub I used only had six. Pro tip: the little included pillow is not a pillow! And is nearly impossible to blow up. They call it a cushion, but what I've seen others do is fill it with water, freeze, and use it to help cool the water in your ice bath. I like that it comes with a carrying case, though I'd prefer it be in a gym bag style. It's so light that it's easy to bring when traveling if you want to make sure you have access to your ice bath wherever you are. That's one of the great uses of these more affordable versions. It holds 320 liters but how full we fill it depends on who is using it. Say we have three different-sized people who are going to do a cold water bath. We fill it for the smallest person first. When they get out and the middle-sized person gets in you're either going to have some overflow or you want to drain some of the water away from the tube using the extendable tube on the drain. And when they get out and the biggest person gets in, you may have some more overflow. If you have the biggest person get in first, you may need to refill some before the smallest person has their turn. ... show more

  • Good little ice bath. Not insulated, though.
Color: Black
I have been trying to get into ice baths and don't find it convenient to fill the bathtub and put ice in it each time, so I thought I would give this a shot. Overall impression: it's a great little bath. It's not as tall as I was expecting. Basically for full immersion you have to sit down in it, not stand. That's probably good, though. I mean, how much ice water do you want to make? Somehow I had the impression that it would be insulated. It's not really. It's just a really heavy material, with 8 plastic posts that you insert to keep it upright, and then the top edge inflates to give it a little more structure. There is a drain near the bottom that has a valve you can open and close. In addition, there's a smaller and less robust drain on the actual underside. I guess the idea is that you drain it most of the way using the big drain (and there's a little extension you can use to direct the water) and then you pull the bottom plug when there is just a bit of water there. In addition, there is a piece you can put on top of the water to slow down the warming effect from the top (it inflates as well). And finally there is a top cover. There is a pump included, but it's complete garbage and didn't help in the least. It's easier to fill it just like any pool toy, with your mouth. It also comes with a case and a repair kit. It only takes a few minutes to set up. Honestly, it's a little more complicated than I expected (with more parts) but I'm not sure the super simple design I had in my head would actually work. If I were designing this, I would probably make it even a little smaller, and make it oval shaped, so it's more the shape of a person, but overall I can't complain about the functionality, design, or performance at all. It works. Right now I have it sitting indoors in my jacuzzi, but I'm going to look into using it outside instead, especially when the weather is cold. If you are looking for an ice bath that can be portable, isn't too expensive, and works for just one person, this is probably a good choice. ... show more

  • Very disappointed…
Color: Black
Top ring won’t inflate! The bottom seal won’t close all the way either. Took a look at the reviews and saw someone had the same issue. Poorly boxed as well… I would not trust this product take your money elsewhere

  • EXCELLENT ice bath!
Color: Black
Wow! This is a great deal. My son who is 6’4” 240 pounds of muscle says this is super comfortable. We couldn’t believe it. ( He said you could be even a bit taller!) You have to have the mobility to be able to crouch in it( and also to get in and out- you just swing your legs in). But he said it truly was super comfortable. It was very very easy to set up. The blower pump that comes with it does not work well, but there is not much to blow up- you could just use your mouth, or find a different pump. My son said it was really nice to be soaking in non chlorinated water, we filled it with a hose in under ten minutes. We also have ice blocks, so added those. We have two different ice baths- this one is made of a little less quality, but the height of it is very impressive ( and the size of body it holds). It is about three inches taller than the other brand we have ( and maybe three inches wider). He likes both brands but says this one is more comfortable. He says this is a GREAT deal price wise- it may not last forever if you use it every day, but it will last quite a while! He says it is a great way to figure out if you are really interested in doing ice baths. This is highly highly recommended! One last note: once filled with water you cannot move it- we think this is pretty obvious, but just in case you don’t think things through ( we may not have ). Again, a great deal, and very very comfortable! ... show more
