This vanity is perfect! My husband says it was very easy to put together. The drawers come pre assembled so it's just a matter of putting the legs on, assembling the stool & putting the mirror up. The cushion on the stool is very nice & comfortable. The thickness of the cushion is nice, the material is velvety to the touch, very nice. The vanity itself is very sturdy, the height is perfect, the drawers have plenty of space for all my goodies and best of all it's customizable. Inspired by another reviewer I took a can of spray paint & painted the drawer fronts. I exchanged one of the knobs (in the bottom middle drawer for a solid silver one) then added the desk mat. All done in one day! The mirror is big & clear. It does not magnify so I got a small table top mirror for magnification. I did purchase separate vanity lights but I'm not sure if I want to add them yet. I'm going to line the drawers with some shelf paper for sure to give it more customization. The drawers seem to be plenty deep to be able to hold all of my makeup plus the cubbies on the top will hold makeup brushes & things like that. You could add little custom pieces to hold things on top of the vanity also there's plenty of space. Furthermore, the vanity can also be used as a small computer desk. The entire top mirror part comes off without leaving any screw holes. Very versatile! Shipping was fast! I received it a week earlier than Amazon told me! And everything was perfect.     • Small but useful
It's always annoying when people write in the reviews that the size of an item wasn't what they were expecting when the measurements are in the description! But really, this is a little smaller than I excepcted... like 10% smaller than expected. It's more noticable when you step away and look at it sitting next to real sized furniture. I'm thinking of putting it on risers. Anyway, arrived in 2 parts, the vanity in 1 package and the mirror in another, the next day. Mine had no damage, but it was covered in a dust... ? Super easy to assemble, just put the legs on and attach the top to the desk. I added vanity lights around the mirror and drawer liners and it's a nice little setup. The brown is a nice dark espresso color that matches the Ashley furniture brown pretty well... if they aren't next to each other. Points to note: The space between the stool and bottom of the desk is small, (about 5 inches). You can only sit one way and get up one way. Drawers are smaller than expected. Main 3 are not full length and the 2 on the sides are slightly smaller than the drawer face. Interior space of the side drawers is about 10"x5", middle is 10"x8". There is a drawer divider for the main drawer but it is not solid at all. I added a few little rubber bumpers to hold it in place and it's much more useful. Drawers are not on tracks. Main drawers have a felt on the bottom to act as runners, top 2 have nothing. I added a few strips of white medical tape to the bottom of the top drawers and they slide like champs. The whole thing shakes something fierce when doing a repetitive motion, like foundation, but mine is on carpet. Maybe on solid surface floors it is more stable? Feels solid otherwise, it doesn't wobble at all. Overall, I like it. A few modifications made it better. It's inexpensive but has everything you need. ... show more

After reading different reviews and browsing through other vanities, I came across this one and fell in love! I received the vanity last night and put it together too. Directions are a little vague but if you're handy it's easy to figure out. Took me about 2.5 hours to put together. Be careful opening the boxes, if you use a knife just barely cut the tape. I made the mistake of using a knife and it slightly cut into the wood but thankfully once assembled the cuts were hidden. Overall, I'm very pleased with this purchase. The vanity is beautiful and it was exactly the kind of space I wanted to do my makeup! Pros: It's well built, the wood is a really nice solid material and the stool is super cute! For those who said the stool isn't sturdy, it's likely because they didn't tighten the screws enough, it's solid believe me (I'm 5'5 135 pounds). My thick thighs do fit under the vanity and I'm able to move forward sitting on the stool, but just barely. Love the chic design. Came packaged securely so nothing was broken! Stool is comfortable and sturdy! Great vanity and a decent value! Cons: It's got smaller storage space than I envisioned, but it's perfect for me because I'm not a makeup fanatic. If you're really looking for ample amounts of storage space this likely isn't the vanity for you. (Can also be a pro if you're just looking for a smaller vanity!) When you attach the wood piece on the back of the vanity that secures the mirror part to the bottom part, it makes the two mirror storage boxes come up. Meaning that I had to keep the screws slightly loose in the back otherwise the storage boxes attached to the mirror were mid-air. I wish they offered the option to buy this vanity with the storage stool that BEWISHOME also sells. I really wanted that extra storage space but didn't want to have to buy another stool when it already came with one.
