This was my 2nd purchase of the BetterSax Saxophone Swab kit. These are very good quality, clean the inside of your saxophone as it should, and should last a long time. And not only do you get the saxophone swab, but also a smaller one you can use for mouthpieces and necks. Now, if you've been waiting for the Tenor Sax Swab Kit to be restocked (Amazon and other vendors have been out of stock for a couple months it seems), don't fret. This Alto Sax Swab DOES fit and work with a tenor sax. The only thing, is that you must remove the neck first (which can then be swabbed with the smaller swab), and then THIS larger swab WILL fit the tenor sax with a few inches to spare. (The instructions tell you to swab both the sax and neck while they are together. That is not in fact needed) So if you want one of these for your tenor sax. Don't think you have to wait. The Alto Swab WILL work on your tenor sax. ... show more

This product works as described! The big swab fits through my saxophone body fine and the smaller swab fits through the neck piece and my mouthpiece just fine. The only reason I gave it a four star is that on the big swab I feel that the weighted end on the line that you use to drop through the saxophone could be a little bit bigger weight so that it will pull through easy because you insert it through the bell first and then tip it so that it comes out at the neck area and if it had a little bit more weight to it it would go through simpler. I have another one that is just like it from another company that the weight is a lot more substantial and it goes through better. But all in all it works well and absorbs the moisture is fine. ... show more

I'm a relative newcomer to saxophone, but having played clarinet for almost 70 years, I can say this swab kit is far superior to any commercial swab I have ever used. AAA+ quality at a fair price.

The only good thing i can say about the swab is the material seems to be very high quality with good stiching. Now for the bad...the swab got stuck the very first time I used it. This was not user error. I've used many swabs before with no issues. Due to the thickness of the swab it would not exit the top of the sax body. Since there was not a second string to pull the swab back out trough the bell. I had to improvise and take a very long screwdriver (any hard straight rod shapped tool would have worked) to push the swab back down the body until I could see it at the bottom of the bell and then I used a long pair of kitchen tongs to pull it back out the bell. I will never take a chance on using this swab again. Not worth the potential damage to the horn. My wife suggested I sew a return string on to the end. But no, I'll use a product the already has a string. This swab is being returned to the seller. I'll buy a swab at half the price with a return string. ... show more

Great cleaning kit for my new Tenor Sax and my existing Alto. If you want to keep your instrument operating efficiently, you really have to keep it clean and maintained, and this kit is a great way of doing that. I may buy another so that I can have it in both cases.
