You get what you pay for! It'll serve it's purpose for awhile, but it's a little flimsy for how thick the cloths are, and the rod itself is a bulky when it's all put together. Spend the extra $5 for the metal rod and learn from my mistake!

This came up in my Amazon search for a cleaning rod to use with a Soprano Recorder and a Tin Whistle. It does NOT fit either. I believed that it would be usable for my instruments because it was Amazon recommended. WRONG. It does fit partway down the barrel of the largest piece--before banging into the end where the rod is to big to fit thru--or even all the way down! Also, with the cloth going into the slot, the head is uncovered, which could cause damage. I do not think this would work safely for ANY instrument. All the other items with similar titles are the same size--or possibly larger as the dimensions are not provided for the top width. Recorder specific rods are only sold with another recorder.
