The rug is thin but still very soft. It doesn’t slide easily but I still put double tape under just because I have my mother who is so rough on everything and it was just a little extra to keep corners down. The pictures are of rug straight out of box. Had no problem laying flat and corners were not curled up, again tape was just for extra because of my mom! If you want padding you will have to add yourself but if you’re ok with it being thin, then you’ll love, this rug is very pretty! What I love it’s washable!! ... show more

This rug looks great and fits our space well. We got the 8×10 in the blue-green color scheme. This rug is thin but is VERY soft and quite slippery to walk on.
