This is a great value for the money. It’s MDF, there’s a seam right down the center of the top and clearly not real wood. Which I was well aware of prior to purchasing. It sits lower than other TV stands I’ve had but, again, I knew the dimensions prior to purchasing so I knew what I was getting and sitting lower doesn’t bother me at all. The ambiance is great, the remote for the fireplace gives different glow/color options and you can turn the heat up/down. I was very surprised how much it actually heated our space. We recently finished our basement and wanted the extra heat for that reason, basements are colder. We actually had to turn the heat down so that was a pleasant surprise. I opted to not put the “glass” doors on because, in my opinion, it makes the product look cheaper. There’s also an additional remote to change the backlighting on the actual unit. It would be nice if everything was on the same remote but that’s not enough of a deterrent for me to not purchase. My biggest issue, the issue I took a star off because of, is the incredibly obnoxious brand endorsement right on the front of the unit. It’s hideous. I saw a review indicating the but in the listing photos it’s not shown so I thought maybe the company corrected that. I’ve never purchased furniture and seen their name/logo so obnoxiously displayed. It’s usually subtle, on the side or in a drawer. I’m actually going to work on a way to blacken it out because it really annoys me. Honestly I would take 2 stars off because it frustrates me so much but, for the money, I do think this is a great buy. My last comment, I ordered the walnut color and do feel it is darker than the listing. So much so I actually thought I was sent the wrong color. Maybe just the lighting in the listing photos or the appearance online. For size reference, the TV we have sitting on ours in the pic is a 65” and if you are sitting your TV on top like we did, the base is quite narrow. ... show more

Item was overall poor quality for the charged price. This is nothing more than particle board with a cheap fireplace. The item does not come as advertised. There are no LED lights for the bottom cabinets, and the LEDs that are given are very low light. Even the full “white” leds look bad. The item does have a decent size but loses all appeal with the poor construction method. This took my spouse and I about 3 hours to build together.
