I was apprehensive buying a foam egg crate topper. The last time I was on an egg crate topper was in the very late 80s/very early 90s. I know technology has changed and there are a lot of benefits of copper infused materials from anti-microbial to helping with pain. I suffer from Fibromyalgia, Scoliosis, degenerative disc disease and a few other auto-immunes. I need a new mattress, but am not in a position to buy one so I tried this - with the egg shells up. And I was out like a light AND felt great the next morning. Definitely worth the purchase!

I am staying with a friend for a few years and am sleeping on a double futon mattress. As a 57-year-old, overweight woman, my lower back has been in agony since I've been here, due to no support from the futon. I have tried I don't know how many mattress toppers to try and get some relief so I'm not waking up in pain during the night and in the morning. NOTHING worked until I bought this egg carton mattress topper. I just sink into it at night, and it both cushions and supports my lower back. I'm also very sensitive to heat while I'm sleeping (yes, I'm the one who leaves the window open and the ceiling fan on in the dead of a Utah winter), and I have not noticed any increased heat from this mattress topper, so that's definitely a huge plus! I could not be more happy with this mattress topper, and if it ever needs replacing, I'll buy another one from this seller, because I'm totally converted (and thrilled!) at this point. :)

Ordered this because I've been struggling with lower back pain for about 2 years now. It started when I moved in with my fiancé. We've tried changing the mattress twice, then the couch, then I changed the bed pillows, then added back support pillows, & tried exercising. I've never had a problem before I moved in with my fiancé since the bed I had before was a pillow top. We even added a mattress pad, but it wasn't quite enough. My fiancé sleeps on his stomach, so he likes firm mattresses & I sleep on my back & am really light, so I don't like memory foam. I finally caved & just bought this egg crate foam mattress topper & its just like sleeping on my old pillow top mattress before. I don't think I've had a better night sleep in 2 years. The bed is kind of lopsided now though since my side has the mattress topper & my fiancé's side doesn't, but since I'm finally sleeping better, I'm in a better mood, so I think he's able to over look it. I would definitely recommend.

I recently discarded a gel foam egg crate mattress topper after 3 years of excellent sleep. It was 4 inches deep, and at least 2.5 to 3 inches of that was actual finger depth, making it incredibly comfortable. Unfortunately, being that deep, it is not only softer, but also less durable, so it began to tear at the valleys. After looking at the picture of this topper, it appeared to have similar deep cuts to the egg crate. However, after it opened after a couple of days, it became apparent that this was not the same as the picture shown in the advertisement. Since it got a lot of good reviews, I decided to try it anyway. After 6 weeks, I'm giving up on it. It feels like lumpy cardboard. I've included pictures to show the depth of the cuts in the topper. Not like the picture. I've already ordered another one from another company, and I hope it is like the picture advertised.

UPDATE: My son has had this topper for nearly 2 years and we also moved residences about 8 months ago. His topper is still as comfortable as the day we bought it and ZERO issues of it degrading or falling apart anywhere - I am shocked and pleasantly surprised. So I finally ordered one for myself. It came well packed and it does take a little bit of a wrestling to get it out and onto the bed but not too bad. It expanded to its full size within the day with NO odor (and I’m sensitive to that) so I was able to sleep on it even sooner than expected. Last night was my first night and I couldn’t be happier. I can’t believe I waited so long to get mine. I will say that it takes a little more effort to turn over, to change positions in the bed but with this I don’t need to - my hip, back and shoulder would always ache in the night and I would toss and turn to get comfortable- but now I was able to actually rest. My sleep score on my Fitbit skyrocketed. I would have a hard time believing it if it wasn’t me since I’ve worked in the mattress/ topper business and have tried many different types. This is the best one I’ve ever seen at this price point - truly the best price and overwhelmingly good value. My only warning: you will not want to get out of bed! This is an excellent topper. Great value and was better than expected. I expected some smell, I expected some irregularities in the foam but it was perfect. I’ve owned several toppers over the years and this is by far the best overall experience and so, so comfortable. I used to work for a company that made mattresses and toppers and I can tell you from experience that this one is definitely well made and surprisingly no odor. TIPS - when unfolding your topper do it GENTLY - do allow it ample time to expand. It didn’t take long for mine, but I gave it extra time - if you put sheets on a bed sleep on it when it hasn’t fully expanded you run more risk of it tearing. - Be gentle with it when moving it, putting on your bed etc. This is a foam product, it is not indestructible. It’s not super fragile or anything, it’s great quality, but I saw a lot of reviews about rips and tears... if you are appropriately gentle with it you shouldn’t have any problems. - This topper may lead you to wanting to spend more time lounging in your bed! Not for those who dislike a cushion-y, melt into it feel, but for those who do, this is your topper!

I bought a new mattress that was too firm and wasn't supporting my back at all. I searched for weeks for what had to be the perfect solution because I didn't want to have to return anything. I was desperate for comfort and a good night's sleep. I took a chance and gave this a try and it has made my rock hard mattress feel close to a soft cloud (but with enough support for the important areas). I almost wanted to send it back to get the 4 inch but worried I might sink too much into it. The 3 inch is just right! The egg crate mattress topper has not lost its shape (it always puffs back up) and I've had it for 4 months. Money well spent!
