I have a 17 year old cat that is in his final stages of life. I picked up 2 sets of these stairs in order to help him climb onto my bed and onto the sofa. They have been AMAZING. I cannot stress enough that these stairs have been hands down the BEST purchase I have ever made on Amazon. Pros: -Very Sturdy -Lightweight and easy to move -Machine Washable Covers -Soft foam that doesn't hurt if you accidently run into it during the night -Works for Large Cats (My boy was 16 lbs when I bought these. He's down to 10.6 lbs now) -Extremely good durability (Used daily for more than 2 years) -Good price for High Quality Cons: -None. My Shih tzu was struggling to jump on our bed and would sometimes miss and fall, and if you have a little dog you know how scary that is since they can get hurt in the blink of an eye because they are so brave. We decided to get these stairs for him and have no regrets! First, I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to put these together. I was expecting it to be a mess and to take forever but it arrived basically put together! Took maybe 2 mins to finish putting together (basically just zipping it up). Also, they are super light weight but durable enough my 11 pounder doesn’t cause them to squish. My Shih tzu immediately fell in love with these and has no issues going up or down them. We got them for next to the bed but he requests that I move them around the house to wherever I plan on sitting which isn’t a problem since they weigh almost nothing. These have made him a new level of spoiled. It’s really cute and I was surprised. The only thing I will add is I have really slippery traction-less floors and I had to place a cabinet liner grippy thing under the set of stairs so they don’t move around on my floor. It’s so convenient that you can open the zipper to lay it down flat. For storage purposes. The foam is very sturdy, even for my frenchie (5 years old, who’s 40lbs). But the bottom is not anti-slip at all. So I need to buy that extra to make it more secure.

LOVE these steps! We have 2 dogs. Our girl is a Jack Russel mix who can easily jump up on anything in our house even though she's the smallest of our 2. The other, Danny, is a chihuahua/beagle mix. He has the head and legs of a chihuahua, and the body of a beagle! This makes it very difficult for him to jump up on the bed to relax or sleep with us. Before buying these steps, it would take him 4 or 5 attempts to get up, and then he was out of breath. We were also worried he was going to hurt his back. Now, he walks right up there with us and is much happier! The steps are light enough to move around easily and just the right height for our mattress. They are also sturdy enough that I can sit on the top step if need be. Admittedly, it distorts quite a bit (I am over 220 lbs), but not terribly. Now, the reason for 3 stars on sturdiness. As I mentioned, they are pretty light. Our bedroom isn't the biggest so, in order to save space when we're not in there and when we are asleep, I turn the steps sideways at the foot of the bed. Going down, there's no issue. If Danny runs up to the bed and they are turned sideways, however, they are easily flipped over. This has caused him to face-plant several times into the foot of the bed! Poor guy!!! I wish there was some sort of weight on the bottom to give it just a bit more stability. It's not detrimental, and definitely not a reason to avoid purchasing. Overall, I would definitely recommend these if you have an animal that has a difficult time getting up on the couch or bed. Product says for small- and medium-sized dogs, so they should hold 55 lb. dog. However, that's innacurate as the foam doesn't have enough support to hold that sized dog and sinks in as they attempt to climb. Quality is fine for little dogs but not mine – will be returning.
