We purchased two of these mats for our toddler to use for play and tumbling. The hook and loop strips (velcro) are secured well around the perimeter and hold the mats together perfectly. The mats are great quality with a heavy weight durable cover, easy to clean and the foam density is soft enough to protect against tough falls and tumbles, but firm enough for my husband and I to use them as supportive workout mats for yoga and floor exercises. They are also easy to fold back up and carry away with the handles. What a great find.

Great matt! We practice taekwondo and are in an extreme class that involves a lot of flips and special kicks. We needed a good thick matt that would help with impact. This matt is very large and of very good quality. Love that it has straps to carry it. Couldn't be happier!

Update 06/25/2018: It's been a couple months now, and we've been keeping it permanently on the floor in a high traffic area. It's held up wonderfully! I'm so so happy we made this purchase! Now that our little acrobat can climb up onto the couch, we knew we would have to find a solution to prevent any injuries from him falling over the back of the couch to the tile floor! I saw that these mats had good ratings, and noted that 2" seems to be standard, compared to cheaper mats that are around 1/2". We received it today and wow! It works perfectly! The 2" padding feels safe--I can jump on it as an adult (190+) and it supports me well. It didn't have a strange smell, although the bag that contained it was dirty on the outside. I can't tell if it was from shipping or from the warehouse. Anyway, it came folded and it was very light. These are just like the mats I remember from gym class as a kid! My son really likes the mat, he was running around all afternoon on it and started tumbling a bit! I hadn't purchased it for actual gymnastics, so having it for a dual-purpose mat now is even better! I think this is a solid purchase and I definitely recommend.

Got this for the daughter as she made the honor role. She pulls it out on the lawn and goes for hours and all the other little teenie girls in the neighborhood come over and they have fun. The quality of product is right there and I am sure that if you decide to purchase this your kid will love it just as mine does

Just what we were looking for to use for gymnastics. Ordered 2 originally and then another 2 as they connect well with the Velcro. Looks like it will hold up well too but only time will tell. Packaging when received was good too.

These mats are amazing! We initially bought one 4x10x2 mat, but realized quickly that two would make it nicer for all the cart wheels and back flips easier. They come well packaged and are well made.
