Ordered this brush on March 2nd. It’s been used 3-4 times. Made burgers for a Mother’s Day get together. Luckily I was the one to get the wire broken off the brush in my burger and didn’t swallow it. I went out to look at the grill and to my horror found dozens more broken off wires up against the edges of the grates. Scared the hell out of me. This is ridiculous. Any one of these wires could potentially be a cause to the ER/OR. I’ve used other wire grill brushes before and ever had a problem. This new brush goes in the garbage. ... show more

Short Review: I'm afraid I can't give anything other than 1 star to Kona's 360 Grill Brush due to the fallible construction. If you have little ones and/or value the safety of your friends feet as well as your own, give this one a miss. Read on for a more detailed story. Personal Experience: I purchased this in addition to a bunch of replacement parts for my old faithful Weber Genesis Silver B as part of a revitalization effort this past spring. I needed new flavorizors and grates mainly as we've been expanding our cooking to include yaki-tori, a Japanese style of grilling which includes constant glazing of kabobs. Anyway, the glazing in combination with high heat and rigorous usage over the years wore out the parts and I figured I'd get a nice sturdy brush to really give the grill a thorough cleaning to start off the season. Enter the Kona 360 Grill Brush. The brush itself worked quite well as I was taking the grill apart in the back yard and giving them a scrape over paper bags. The size and shape made it easy to get into corners and around the thinner warming grates/baskets and I was impressed by the results. As far as scrubbing gunk off of a grill is concerned, this is one of the better brushes I have used. Flash forward to the weekend, burger night with my friends and a mini party in the back yard to shake off winter. About an hour into the night, mid grilling, my friend had walked in the grass near the grill where I had been cleaning the grates and let out a yelp. He hopped back to the lawn chair and proceeded to pull out one of the metal bristles that had embedded itself in his toe. A bit of blood, beer, apologies, & one bandage later, we had a funny story to talk about. Two nights later I was watering the plants in the back and as I was walking in, I thought I had stepped on a bee. I had a sharp pain in my heel, so I did the hop back to my patio and found a bristle in my own heel. I promptly threw this brush out, the running gag for the rest of the grill season turned in to making sure to have sandals on in my yard. We were lighthearted about it, but if any of the kids would have stepped on those, or any of the pets, I can assure you this review would have been far less accommodating. After looking through other reviews, I have seen similar things posted. If you have made it this far, please take heed! Maybe they've improved construction, but I'm not taking another chance.     • Stop looking - Get this Grill Brush!

I grill year round in the northeast. Through Snow, Rain, Sleet, whatever. I have been through plenty of grill brushes in the last 15 years and this one is by far the best one I have used. The key is a gentle touch, no need to grind down on the grates to get them clean. The design allows for easy access to the sides of the grates as well. If/When this eventually wears out (it is going like the day I bought it) I will definitely get another one of these! Update 7/8/16 - I have used this brush hard ever since I bought it and it keeps on going with next to no wear visible on it. It has been kept outdoors under the grill the entire time and there is a little rust but this grill brush keeps on performing like new. Still thrilled with it. Update 12/17 - The rest of the story - This brush has been through it all, rain, snow, blizzards and sub-zero temp grilling. It finally gave up the ghost and the bristle's finally wore out. Admittedly I grill 2-3 times a week year-round in the northeast -so this brush has seen A LOT of use. Given the 5 year guarantee I contacted the company and found out the brush is only surpassed by the customer service. After a few email exchanges and a picture of the used up brush, they promptly sent out a replacement - on time and true to their word! I live in Florida and BBQ at least 3 days a week. I was running through the standard grill brushes at Home Depot and Lowes about every 3-4 months and was getting pretty sick of spending $40-50 dollars a year to keep my grill clean. I saw the Kona 360 on Amazon and figured it was worth a shot... Let me tell you it works extremely well! Literally, one back and forth stroke will clean off the toughest grill gunk (be sure to heat grill to high temperature before brushing). As for the durability: I am happy to report that after 2 months of heavy use, the Kona 360 shows very little evidence of wear! In fact, if it holds up at this pace, it should least another 1-2 years (I would have bought at least 6 brushes in 2 years @$12.99)! Very satisfied customer and would recommend to anyone regardless of grilling frequency! A couple extra bucks on the original purchase will save you time and money in the long run. ... show more

Best B.B.Q. brush I ever purchased. I have a 14 year old Weber Geneses Silver "B". I just disassembled the top end and thoroughly cleaned out all the burners (which were in excellent shape) and degreased and scraped the inside of the oven. My cast iron grill grates which are also original, I normally clean after each use and spray with a light coat of "Pam" cooking oil keeps to them from rusting. The groves in the grates are about 1/2" wide and this "Kona Brush" fits in there just right. I use a pair of channel lock pliers to grip the grates while they are still warm and flip them over & clean the bottom with the "Kona" brush and another horizontal roller type brush with hot water and the grease droppings steam away. ... show more
