As I write this review I'm in absolute awe of how utilitarian this wallet is. My expectations have been exceeded by a hundred fold. Or... perhaps I didn't know what to expect to begin with. You see, I had been stuck in the dark ages the past 12 odd years with my trusty Kenneth Cole Trifold leather wallet. Over the years, I had stubbornly clung to the familiarity of a traditional wallet. Until now. When I was offered to try one of these so-called smart wallets for myself. "Just one of those newfangled contraptions..." -- or so I thought. My initial reaction upon seeing its diminutive size once I had taken it out of its package was one of skepticism. Now, how was this wallet going to fit all the contents of my old wallet, which was stuffed to the hilt with14 debit and credit cards, driver's license, a microSD card, and some cash. (Yes, you heard right, I keep a microSD card with digital backups of my important documents -- right in my wallet!) Yet, after I was done transferring all of the contents from the old wallet to the new one... I was awestruck. Wow. Just wow. I was able to fit 7 cards in the card ejection compartment (which is actuated by a lever at the bottom of the wallet), 4 cards in a regular card slot, my driver's license and a few miscellaneous cards in another card slot, and some cash in the billfold. The mechanism for ejecting the cards appears to be robust. Time will tell. The cards are ejected out of the receptacle in a staggered fashion i.e. you're able to see each of the 7 cards overlaid one on top of another in a staggered fashion, so you can easily select the card to pull out. This is the first time I've used such a contraption, and I have to tell you, I really, REALLY love it. Here's the use case: you take the wallet out of your back pocket, press a lever, and out comes 7 cards in all their staggered glory! And now you're able to select the card you want to use. And when you're done, slip it back into the receptacle, put the wallet back in your back pocket. And. You're. Done -- all the while, the wallet is in its CLOSED configuration. Now, how's that for innovation? I cannot -- I CANNOT -- emphasize enough how much I'm enjoying this newfound convenience! Can you tell I'm impressed? lol I'm a bit sad to say goodbye to my Kenneth Cole. Kind of silly, I know. But, after all, it had been a trusty companion the past 12 years and I had grown more sentimentally attached to it than I had realized. But I have kept it for now, for.. you know... just in case. Just in case this new wallet gives out and I have to revert back to an old pal... Now, of course, I can't speak to how durable this wallet is. Not yet. I'm going to be using this wallet as my daily driver and hopefully provide an update to this review in a few months, or if the wallet fails to meet my expectations in any way. As of now, I would highly, highly recommend it! Nicely done, eRevel! You have potentially won a lifelong customer.
