  • Very pleased with this pair of planters so far.
Size: 2 Count
These are just what I wanted and just as advertised. I think this is probably the easiest assembly product I have ever encountered, certainly right up near the top. I am over 70, female, and age, injuries and arthritis have weakened me a lot, I have back and neck injuries, a left leg and arm that have injuries that left them debilitated, painful, numb, and unreliable for keeping balance, or walking while carrying something. I cannot move around quickly anymore, so I have to plan my completion of various projects I still want to do very carefully to avoid more injuries and so I get them done without having to stop and rest too much. Usually, that requires me to platform the assembly of items like these so that I can sit while having everything I need sorted out in range of my reach. So that's the place I'm speaking from when I say that it took me longer to unpack the box this pair of planters came in (because it was taped up really well, and there were styrofoam like packing sheets wrapped around the panels inside, also taped with packing tape, and all secured by some zip ties so the largest panels (the back panels with the trellis) would not move around too much. Parts list and instructions in a booklet inside. I identified and counted the parts and hardware. Check ...All there. Looked the panels over for damage, none found. put the box flat on the deck, so it would be raised up and also keep the panels from getting scratched. Put the screws (nice, attractive brass, phillips round head and more like threaded carriage bolts) into a container so they wouldn't get lost. put the big panel on the empty box for the first planter, and the other four panels within reach. Read the five simple steps of the instruction. and ten or fifteen minutes later, first one was all done. The panels are light but seem sturdy. They have an attractive walnut stain and the heads of the screws are attractive brass finish. Only five panels for each one and only eight screws to be put in. The holes for those screws are already bored and fitted inside with the threaded brass female receptacle. The holes lined up perfectly, but I would suggest studying the side panels a bit before trying to line them up and if they don't seem to line up properly, you probably have them backwards or upside down. Inside and outside are not labeled, so you have to use some common sense. If they don't fit together, then you have the panel the wrong way. turn it around. Others have commented that if you have a power screwdriver, you should plan on using it. I only have a drill with screwdriver bits, and I did not want to get that out, but I do have a little ratcheting screwdriver set and that saved a lot of hand turning. The casters are really nice ones, two locking and two regular with each planter. The casters were the main reason I chose this item because I will need to move it around myself and anticipate putting climbing plants in it that need to be brought inside during winter months. They are very sturdy and work very smoothly. You can hand thread the casters into the holes most of the way but they include a little wrench to tighten them up properly which worked perfectly. Oh. I forgot the bottom panel. They say in the instructions to drop that in after the front, back and side panels are assembled. I did that with the first one, but the second one, I put the casters on first, because the bottom panel is not screwed in, it just drops in and flops back up or out when you tip the unit to put the casters on. Again, if you have any trouble with that not fitting inside the planter...you have put one or more of the side, front and back panels on the wrong way. ... show more

  • Great as a privacy screen for an apartment balcony.
Size: 2 Count
Our apartment manager is a real pain in the butt, and for some reason we're not allowed to hang or mount anything on our balcony, even on command strips or zip ties. We wanted a privacy screen, but we also have a lot of plants and it's a small balcony. When I found these, I was thrilled! I ordered the set of 2, and they are great. They are not very tall (I knew this when ordering, but check your measurements!), but they're great. Very easy to assemble, too, and made of real cedar, so they smell fantastic. I have ours sitting on old milk crates to make them a little taller (and allow for some "shelves" for storage underneath), so I can't use the castors that came with them, but the wheels seem good quality, too. I'll be hanging a big rainbow flag from the back of the lattices soon, too. Not hanging from my balcony, so not against the rules. Malicious compliance for the win! Truly, though, these are a really nice set of planters, especially for the price. If you want them to hold up longer, I'm sure they can be stained and finished, too. ... show more

  • Easy assembly, arrived broken
Size: 2 Count
This is a me thing, but it is a bit smaller than I expected. All the same, it's very cute and light weight. When assembled, it feels very sturdy and secure. The assembly itself took me about twenty minutes for the two of them. My only complaint is that one of the front panels arrived with the little top nob broken. That gives me some worries about it's life span, but we shall see. ... show more

  • Beautiful, but small
Size: 2 Count
I bought these planters but didn't take note of the size. I was going to return them, but it was my mistake and they really are nice and were so easy to put together. So we built a little stand to get them off the ground, and they look great.

  • Surprisingly nice
Size: 2 Count
This was super easy to put together, less than 15 minutes each one. Strong cedar smell so if you have lung issues make sure you put it together in a well ventilated area. Well made in my opinion. Holes lined up, no having to finagle to get the screws to fit. Just super pleased all around with it, especially for the price. I expected a cheaper sloppier planter and was just pleasantly surprised. Highly recommend. I did put a liner in as a way to limit any watering damage. Also, be aware these are small. And even though they are on casters, they roll smoothly with no wobbling. And it's fairly light but sturdy. Hope this helps anyone thinking of purchasing. I will be looking to see what else this seller has. ... show more

  • Nice, but not worth price
Size: 1 Count
Honestly it only took me 10 minutes to put most of it together. The portion that bumped me up to 30 minutes was trying to get the bottom to lay inside flat. After I'd gotten it outside (super light) I filled it up. Dirt and plants. Went to get the water hose to water it in and bam, the wind immediately tipped it right over. The back is too tall for the tiny planter space. Even with plants and dirt it wasn't heavy enough to stop it from blowing right over and spilling EVERYTHING out. Would NOT recommend for the price they are selling it. ... show more

  • Cute, compact and easy to assemble
Size: 2 Count
I wanted trellis planter boxes for small patio area and these are just the right size. I have a habit of putting things together backwards but even though I started to make a mistake or two the illustrated directions were so easy to follow I did things right the first time. I didn't give 5 stars for sturdiness only because the planter/trellis combination is lightweight and not for people to sit or climb on. That said, it looks like it will withstand wind and maybe the occasional squirrel just fine. The caster wheels make it easy to position the planters in just the right location. I look forward to filling these with flowers. ... show more
