I bought this for my 4-year-old’s birthday, and it has been the biggest hit in our house! I was looking for something more than just a basic plastic ukulele but not quite a "real" heavy instrument yet, and this set is the perfect middle ground. The guitar itself is lightweight enough for a toddler to carry around, but it feels surprisingly durable—it’s survived being dropped on the hardwood floor more than a few times already. The different sound modes and the pre-set songs are great because even if they aren't actually "playing" notes yet, they feel like they’re making music. The little amp and microphone stand are what really make the set. My daughter loves "performing" for the family, and the mic actually works! It’s loud enough to be fun for them but (thankfully for the parents) not so loud that it’s overwhelming. It’s also a huge plus that the height of the mic stand is adjustable so it can grow with them for a bit. If you’re looking for a gift that will actually get them up and moving instead of sitting in front of a screen, this is it. It’s been weeks and he still plays with it every single day. Our 3 year old grandson ABSOLUTELY loved it as well as his 4 year old sister. They didn’t want to stop “Rock and Rolling” as my granddaughter said, lol. Very nice set. There was only one thing I would change… The microphone doesn’t screw into the base and you know young ones like to pick up a microphone and hold it so it must always be put back in. This is TERRIBLE! The cord shorted out within a few weeks. The cords should be detachable from all three components not just the amp. I believe that, possibly, would have prevented the problem. As is, this toy is TRASH!

Super cute. I got this as a gift for my 5 year old cousin. She LOVED it. She and her sisters pretended to be a band. The speaker doesn't actually work (her parents appreciated that part lol). They are not very durable and some parts came in broken but she still loved it.

It's very cheap, I wouldn't pay $40 for this, maybe $25. The microphone barely works unless you're yelling into it with your mouth on it, and the guitar isn't actually playable. It's just one note, so there's no reason for multiple strings as they don't do anything. It's fun as a toy, it is not a child sized instrument. ... show more

Our little girl has been watching Coco non-stop, so she's been wanting a guitar. I have a signed guitar (Chester Bennington), that we let her strum the strings on, but not play with for obvious reasons. I was specifically looking for something that would feel more like an actual guitar, not cheap plastic buttons. I was so excited when I found this. It has actual strings they can strum. The mic and the guitar connect to an Amp and I got the cutest concert ever! In full disclosure, it didn't take very long for the mic to stop working, but I contacted the manufacturer and they are sending a replacement set.
