  • Great value for adirondaks!
These chairs are solid wood, they look great, they are comfortable and so much more attractively priced than other adirondak chairs. Warning: they come in a lot of pieces that must be assembled. And they are foldable, which is nice but, they have a tendency to creak and squeak, so I added some screws here and there to tighten them up cause we don't ever fold them. I also gave them a couple coats of teak oil for additional weather protection. Bought 2 a few years ago, just bought 2 more. Love 'em! ... show more

  • Terrible build quality
Color: Grey
I ordered 2 and only one box had instructions. Although each box has a set of nuts, bolts, and mostly SKINNY WOOD SCREWS included, instructions are crucial. The wood screws holding most of it together are too small. The instructions correctly suggest to use a drill because there are so many, but even with my battery powered torque restricted (keeps it from over-tightening) drill, it often would make the wood give, meaning, you feel this tiny wood screw breaks some of the threads you're going into. Once assembled, it feels loose and creaks. You cant tighten more without ruining the holes. Its just a very cheap and flimsy wood. Not that the screws are better. My drill would cause the heads of the screws and philips bolt heads to "shave" off the stereotypical cheap quality metal bolts so often used from the parts of the world with the lowest quality control standards. While using a drill to screw in the screws and philips bolt heads, more often than not the heads would make it snow from the bit seemingly drilling into the head. For the price, I predict and hope 2 years of life and I'll be ok with it. I clearly bought this by mistake since I rarely, if ever, buy something this poorly rated on Amazon. My bad, but still...their bad. Definitely not for people over 200lb or planning to keep it more than a year. ... show more

  • Very nice. . .but there are things I would tell you to make it easier.
I bought two of them. Assembled them over 2 nights. Average time 2 hours each time. A. Opening the Box The box is only 20 pounds. Instructions are on top. If you can assemble Ikea things, you can do this. Good - Instructions are organized and lays out the parts for you. Bad - The parts are organized to fit in the box; not ease of assembly. So when you remove the parts, you need to identify the parts and place them on the floor the way the instructions organize them so you can use them easily. Bad - The parts are labeled by 'rubber stamp marks'. But you have to examine the parts closely to find the marks (or identify them by the photo. The marks are inconsistent (some small, some very lightly imprinted) on the wood; and not so obvious. So, stage 1 of organizing the parts (get plastic trays for the screws (3)) and laying out all of the parts, by shape, and markings took 20-30 min. Assembly: Good - Instructions are pretty clear which parts to attach and which screws to use. Recommendation that you use an electric screwdriver (there are over 70+ screws). Recommendation you have a medium size phillips and a wrench for the bolts for assembly later on. Bad - In screwing parts together, there's a pre-drilled hole for the screw on the top piece; but the receiving board has a slight screw mark where it's not always easy to find. I had to look closely to figure out where to line up the screw points or to feel where the drill/screw point was on the second piece. It wasn't always obvious. Final Analysis: 1. They look good. But the wood is soft and scratches easily. Lightly stained. So I plan to finish it with some waterproof stains. 2. Solidness - Pretty good for a mid-sized man. Comfortable. But I wouldn't stand on it. 3. Touches - I would recommend putting rubber pads on the bottom pieces. I have a concrete/pebble garden so, the chairs won't sit smoothly on the ground, and it shifts a bit; scratching the bottom wood pieces. 4. Durability - If this were polyvinyl, I'd throw it around. But because it's a soft wood, I'd treat it gently, sit nicely in it. It's comfortable. And is quite nice looking. I expect it to last a few years, but not lifetime. I'd expect to 'tune' it up every few years for the screws and bolts so it won't fall apart on me. I'm happy about the price. Assembly was entertaining. Overall, very nice. I guess A. I rate the instructions 'good'. You need to understand the illustrations on how to put it together. What I would And the instructions group the parts together by their part number. So I organized my floor with the parts to match the parts map they provide on the 2nd page. B. The primary step is that the parts are all placed into the box to fit the box. So the pieces fit nicely, but they come out in a difference sequence ... show more

  • Cute chair
Cute chair for half the price is a steal! Really appreciate the detailed instructions for putting it together; took an hour or so but was easy. Used compound drill and pliers. The description of sage green looked more lime green when it arrived so am in the process of repainting to suit me. In the picture, the back of the chair is its original color. It's very light weight and probably wouldn't want to use it for heavy use but think it'll be okay for occasional use. "3" rating for being a bit flimsy, very light-weight and not being true to the advertised color. ... show more
