My 55 lb Schnauzer loves these things, especially with the tent top on it. This was the best deal for the price. It was easily put together, comes with a little carrying case if you break it down. The last one I ordered lasted 3 years in the HOT HOUSTON sun before it started shredding and a piece of duct tape no longer did the fix trick. My mini-Schnauzer hops up there as well as my neighbors dogs that like to hang on my porch with me. It would be good for up to 75-80 lb. dog (my 55 lb dog is like a square body tank, a thick boy, med height) I think, depending on breed I suppose. It make my dogs happy and they use it regularly whether I move it out on the lawn or have it on the deck so I highly recommend this product. It seems to be sturdy, the material is a like light tent fabric, the mesh is breathable and it sprays clean with the hose. I spray it with Lysol if my dog encounters a skunk or gets stinky types of things (he likes to drag home for me, what a bonus...). I have the light gray (like a billet aluminum color), it stays clean looking for all the use it gets from these country dogs. I had an old one (no tent top) and raccoons would sometimes sleep on when it was farther out in the yard so it must be comfy . It keeps upright in high winds and hasn't been blown off the deck in storms. I cannot think of anything else! Your dog will love you even more if they hang outside. You could use them inside as well but this 48" is rather 'spacious'. This particular brand seems a bit better than other brands. ... show more

Update: we now have THREE of these. Very easy to put together by myself. Helpful hint, though: when you have the bottom put together and you are trying to get the Velcro to reach its other half on one side, use a rubber mallet to tap every corner together a little tighter. Makes it much easier to Velcro the last side, I think we have had the first one for two years, and it stays out on the lanai in all types of weather. Other than a little fading, it is still holding together very well. The fabric just shows some small spots of wear, but I think the cat sharpens her claws on it, too. I absolutely would recommend. We have two now, and we need a third so there is no fighting over them! LOL they are used everyday out on our lanai. I did need my hubby to help me put it together, but it went quickly. ... show more

BEWARE i bought 2. these are great at first.... the bases last and are durable BUT the coverings are awful and thin. My summers are short june to august so they are only outside for short time after that they are stored inside for cold months. The top part rips and shreds very easy. Ive contacted the seller twice once last after using them for 1-2 summers and they started to rip, I thought maybe they would start selling repl. parts. Then again contacted them today bc they were shredded when i packed them up in September. They refuse to have replacement covers available, I was even willing to purchase them. So once they rip they whole thing is useless so why buy these if you can't replace the ripped part? BUYER BEWARE. unless you want to have to keep rebuying them which I'm not doing from the company again. ... show more

I’ve had this almost 6 months now, and my puppy still uses it every day. It’s sturdy, easy to assemble, and apparently very comfy to lay on and chew sticks. When my dog gets the zoomies in the backyard, he will detour to make a quick jump on his bed, sometimes sit for a second, and then take off again. I did take the canopy part off because he didn’t seem to like going on it when it was attached, but it can be taken off/on very easily.
