I have been searching for a full size fiber optic tree and I have seen this one on Amazon for a few years, but I wasn't certain whether I would like it or not. I decided to take a chance and I purchased it recently, as I knew the Christmas season would be quickly arriving. Through Amazon, I was told that the company would be delivering the tree to me in about two weeks, which was fine, since I did the free shipping and I was in no rush to receive t early, since I was ordering well before I would be setting it up. I believe I ordered it on a Friday, so I knew not to count the weekend as possible shipping days. I didn't even bother to keep track of my order once the new week started and I was surprised to receive my order at my door on Tuesday of that next week. So I was pleasantly surprised I received my order well within the time estimated. Upon opening the box, I noted that the tree is divided into two main pieces for the bottom and top. There is a connector for each piece to connect after joining the two together, so you don't have to worry about extra wires or extension cords hidden in your tree. Near the bottom is the control box for the different settings and the cord to plug the whole thing into an outlet. When I attempted to test out the one and only button on the control device, it was a bit loose and I ended up pushing it into the casing of the device! I was concerned at that point, as I knew the tree wasn't the most glamorous or expensive tree, so I thought it was maybe too cheaply made. I then removed the two screws holding the device together and opened it. There isn't too much inside, aside from the little motherboard to control the different settings, the button connected to it, and the outer button that I pressed was sitting in there as well, albeit loosely to one side. I repositioned it to where it needed to go, I closed and replaced the screws, and I reattempted to press the button, as the instructions indicated. I was relieved to see that it worked just fine at that point. I am guessing the outer button may have just became loose during the shipping process. So don't panic if that happens to you. Just open it, place it back in position, close it, and try again. I know some reviewers have stated the tree is a bit bright, but I absolutely love it! I think it is perfect! I love Christmas, though, so I may just still be excited and looking at it with awe-inspiring eyes, but I think it will met my intent perfectly. Aside from the fiber optics spread throughout the tree, there are little LED lights spread throughout the tree and there is a built-in (and attached) star for the tree topper. I didn't realize it came with it's own tree topper, but I love it as well! It is a little small and only shines in white, but I love it. Once December comes along and I set it up, I will edit this post with a picture or two to help better visualize what I am saying. I may even put up my tree in late November after Thanksgiving, ha! (Yes, I am one of those people) I hope this review helps a little, as I have not been able to find any other full-sized fiber optic trees. I know they were briefly popular enough for the usual brick and mortar stores to sell them a few years back, but they have all stopped and I have not seen any, except for the little trees you can set up at your place of work, but I really liked the look of them on the full-sized trees. UPDATE: I have set up my tree and everything is perfect. I absolutely love it. This tree is exactly what I was looking for. As some have mentioned, it is a bit bright, but that does not bother me. I love that about it. I have the tree in my living room, so the room will be well-lit anyways, so the bright lights are that much more noticeable, as opposed to regular lights that would not be as visible in a lighted room. I have included a couple of photos; one light, and one dark. Dark one came out a bit blurry, since it is difficult for a camera to focus with low light conditions.

Extra cheesy is what I expected when I saw the price and read a few of the reviews were from people who recived them specifically to provide a review. I like those reviews but in the back of my mind I always wonder if the review would be the same if they had paid for the product. Anyway the short version is that once set up, this tree is impressive with a couple of quirks. The Box I had an artificial 7.5 tree from Costco for years. It was HUGE, even when packed and super heavy. We bought a special rolling cart/bag for it. If I had to guess, these boxes are so smal by comparison I could fit 4 to 6 of these trees in that bag now. Now the compact packing size is because the "needles" look exactly as pictured. They fold nice and flat and the whold thing isnt too heavy to move on your own. Inside the box: There's two parts to the tree itself, a base with two thumb screws, two LED lights for the fiber optics and the power plug. There is a switch on the power cable and it plugs into a green box on the tree (also with a button). Set up: Setup was really easy. It took about 10 minutes although I probably would spend more time spreading out the branches. The hardest part to figure out was that the lights plug into the round things on the tree. Light Show: Now seriously, the reviews said it was bright, but holy cow! I think it was a team of six people that weren't exactly clear what the tree was supposed to do. There are 6 modes (or more.) As others have mentioned, some modes are better for clubbing while others would be better left on emergency vehicles. Everyone in my house pretty much hates those modes but they are kinda cool for a minute provided strobing lights are ok with you. We learned there are 2 control switches for the lights. We haven't mastered them but one is for the lower fiber optic lights and the other is for the LEDs and upper fiber optic lights. Although I have yet to find a steady mode (always on) the slow fade in and out is very nice. At one point we disconnected the power to the LED lights leaving only the fiber optic ones on, that was an even softer effect. It does look beautiful when lit and even though I despise twinkle lights, I like the effect. Can it hold ornaments? Probably most regular/light ornaments will be fine. Some areas can probably hold a little more weight but that ashtray or handprint the kids made in pottery class might have to find a new home. Downsides: Usually I call it "the bad". For now I'll leave the stars on and let you know some things you may expect. Some lighting modes are harsh. The two button controls are weird and don't help if the lighting between the top and bottom of the tree get on different timing. The LEDs are as bright or brighter than a flashlight. Upsides: Inexpensive. Compact when it needs to be and full size when it is time. It has a very nice glowing mode and it looks beautiful when it is on. Conclusion: I'd buy this tree again despite the downsides and urge the manufacturer to use a single switch and light controller for the modes. I also hope I can find a "solid color" mode but for $99 shipped, this is a heck of a deal.

Super easy to set up! The hight of the tree is the perfect hight to decorate! Not to tall and not to small. The tree when first getting set up and plugged in is SUPER BRIGHT! Use caution to your eyes 👀 🙈 there is a couple of buttons at the bottom of the tree to adjust the brightness. 🔆 🔅🔅🔅 once you adjust the brightness to your liking. It’s a fun tree not like other trees. It’s has different twinkling options. 🎄 the Kids seem to love it! Mom and Dad however wish we could just get the optic fiber lights to stop flashing. You can adjust the lights to go solid however.

PROS. Received delivery of the tree only a few days after ordering it. Great delivery. Packaging was excellent and very strong. No way for the tree to get damaged during shipping. Although I did not receive any instructions, assembly was very easy and logical. Exactly as advertised and shown. CONS. The LED lights on the tree are very bright. I need to put on the dimmest setting. Unfortunately, the controls do not remember the previous settings, so you need to crawl under the tree where the Control Box is mounted and reset everything to your desired settings. When you first turn on the tree the lights are at the brightest setting and the fiber optic and flashing program is very wild and bright. It is almost as if you had an emergency vehicle in your house. I can't believe this will be anyone's preferred setting. It would be nice if the initial setting was "DIM LEDs" and "Simple Fiber Optic Flashing". The tree comes with blue, red, green, and white LEDS. The white LEDs are very bright and are hard on the eyes, even at the dimmest setting. I used a YELLOW Oil Based SHARPEE (found in artist supply stores) and painted all of the white lights. Much happier with the final looks.
