If you need a high-quality metal access panel for appliances or utilities, this is for you. Screw holes are located inside the door frame on top, bottom, and sides. No visible screws on the outside trim. The "lock" is operated inserting a medium flat blade screwdriver and turning it. The lock is also flush with the door and trim. Nothing sticking out. The panel and trim come nicely powder coated in white. It is paintable, if needed. No security lock was needed in my situation. I purchased this to have access to the rear of the cabinet in which I upgraded my wall oven and added a built-in microwave. I wanted to be able to access the electrical if needed without removing the appliances. They are available in multiple sizes. Yes, I would purchase this again for similar situations. Price was reasonable for the quality of fabrication.

I picked up this access panel as part of a remodel that will include better access to our drain clean-out. This panel fits the bill, with plenty of space to access the clean-out port and plug. The panel would be a little deep in the adjacent 2x6 wall (though the lip could be notched to fit around pipes), but it should fit fine in the built-out wall where the clean-out access is located. The panel is attractive and I appreciate that it can be painted to match the wall, though this one will live on the side of our dryer and be mostly out of sight. Overall, this is a well-made access panel and I appreciate that it's durable and made in North America (Canada, specifically).
