  • Most Important: Know How a Bar-Clamp Works
Size: Small
These are great little light-duty clamps, far easier to use than C-Clamps. Bar-Clamps work by the offset pressure of the bar-side of the movable arm against the bar. Since these little clamps don't have the slide-locks of most larger Bar-Clamps, they're easiest to use by turning your work so the movable bar falls toward the floor, against the work-piece; then tighten. Otherwise, it takes 2 hands, one to hold the bar-end closed, and the other to tighten. Unless you're clamping 2 pieces of metal together, you only need just enough pressure to keep your work-pieces from slipping apart, while fastening together. For 2 metal pieces, fold a small thin piece of sandpaper and place it between the work-pieces at the spot where you intend to place the clamp on the outside. ... show more

  • Clamp's no tramp
Size: Small
I like these little clamps. I picked up a couple at Home Despot, and couldn't resist buying more. As every man, woman, and child knows, you can never have enough clamps. NEVER. I don't have a problem with them coming loose or refusing to adjust as others have described. The clamping bit slides at one angle, and locks at another angle. Be gentle with it and it will show you the way. No need to hulk out on it - clampy doesn't like to be forced. Not trying to blame the victim - other customers might have gotten defective clamps. All four of mine are working great though, knock on wood. ... show more

  • Excellent product - Will buy again!!
Size: Small
I absolutely love these Bessey clamps! I have several other Bessey type clamp products and have always been impressed with their product. I searched high and low for these little clamps. I always love the twist feature to tighten the clamp as you see fit. The only downside is there is not a locking mechanism for when you want to loosen the clamp or move the clamp to its position. I was searching for a clamp that didn't have a very long bar so they wouldn't get in the way when I was making my palate custom sized letters. These are absolutely perfect and I would purchase them again in a heartbeat. You also cannot beat the price or find a better price elsewhere then here trust me I've looked. ... show more

  • Good clamp but.....
Size: Small
Good clamp for small jobs and I ordered 4 of them. I also received 4 black metal bracket-like things that came with the order. I have no idea what they are used for. The piece is approx 5"x3" and I attached a picture. I posted this question but since I couldn't add a picture to 'ask the community' I'm posting the picture here. ... show more

  • Very good product—especially for the price
Size: Small
I ordered four of these and they served my purpose of holding down a router jig that I made. I see myself using these along with a square bracket to make sure my shelves are a perfect 90 degree angle. Seems durable enough for what I've used it for so far. I like it. I ordered ten more for a new woodworking project with several shelves. ... show more

  • Great little clamps
Size: Small
These are great little F style clamps from Bessey. They are made in China and not from their German made line...but from what I can tell not much of their stuff is German made anymore. Regardless, these are very handy and I generally prefer them to C Clamps. They are fast and hold good enough for most light duty clamping. My first 2 sets have help up for over 10 years but I frequently find myself wishing I had another set so I bought some her on amazon. ... show more

  • A heavy-duty option for small projects
Size: Small
Wonderful for small projects, and cheap enough to keep quite a few. Infinitely better than these flimsy ratcheting clamps you can find at any hardware store - more rigid, able to clamp with a lot more force, not prone to flexing back when you depress the trigger. They are described as "light-duty", but are actually quite sturdy - a good, solid chunk of metal, a nice acme screw that's not going to strip any time soon. The only thing to keep in mind is that they have no clutch / ratchet. To lock them, you need to tilt back the bottom jaw and hold it in this position as you tighten the clamp. Not hard, just takes some getting used to if you're unfamiliar with this mechanism. ... show more

  • Bessey Clamps are some of the best you can buy
Size: Small
Bessey Clamps are some of the best you can buy. These are inexpensive and do the job. Only issue I've had with them at all is the small round red plastic disk that keeps the clamp from marring the surface you clamp on tends to fall off so it can be lost. Storing them with them tightened on themselves solves that. I did not receive 3 of the small disks out of the 12 I've ordered (knowing that they fall off easily, certainly understandable), and Amazon replaced them no questions ask. Well worth the money in my opinion. -Chris the Electrician ... show more
