While I returned this item because another type I tried worked for two different purposes I had, this is a good option for holding a tablet off a mic stand. It is well made and I think would hold up very well. If I didn't have the other need that this didn't work for, I probably would have kept it. I will say, though, that it holds the tablet so securely that it's a bid difficult to get it in and out of the grips! ... show more

We purchased this for our daughter, who performs throughout the state. This is a great little product, especially for the price. It doesn't take up as much space as a standalone iPad holder, which is convenient.     • Solid mount, highly adjustable
I've been through a number of iPad holders, and this one's my favorite, so far. I play guitar and sing standing up, and I depend on the cheat sheets on my iPad for lyrics and chords. I attach this mount to the vertical portion of my mic stand and position it so that it's more-or-less in my line of sight with the audience. That puts it between my face and a portion of the audience, which is not ideal, but, at this level, at least I'm not looking down at my screen. Memorizing everything would be better, but that ain't going to happen. I like how this mount secures the pad to itself, and I like the multiple adjustable joints for getting the angle of the pad just right. ... show more

Just what i was looking for - solid, and expect to last many years. Folds up pretty small, easily transported. Took about 90 seconds to setup - some complained about not having a quick-connect to the mic stand, but its literally just a few turns of the screw-handle, and you’re nice and sturdy…

It doesn't have the spring-loaded clamping mechanism that many of the more expensive ones do but it is adjustable, sturdy and gets the job done. I use it for displaying my music on my Ipad at band Gigs. I had a more expensive one that I returned to guitar center when this one came in. The other one was too heavy and cumbersome.
