Update: With a few more wears, the elastic on the velcro is curling and even more stretched out. There are also loose threads. Dropped to one star. Sadly, this is going in a landfill. The good news is that I watched some YouTube videos and have constructed a better option for me out of knee wraps with velcro ends. Fully adjustable, soft and comfortable with zero digging, much cheaper, seems very durable, and it also engages the serratus anterior and better engages the latissimus dorsi. I wish I had looked into it more before going for this overpriced quick fix. Original review: So I will agree that this design is great and that Alex was very accommodating. She sent me a medium because I seemed to be in between sizes. The medium worked better. It worked great actually. However, in less than a month and two hand washes/air dried, the elastic is warped and so loose. The straps slide off. Great idea, but cheap materials. This isn't even worth the expense if receiving an extra one. I sent the small to my sister. Same thing. The elastic creases and rubs like crazy. It was fine if I wore it over a shirt before, but now it's too painful. It's a shame because it worked great for a few weeks.

The basic structure of this brace is what I’m looking for. I have trouble keeping my shoulders back and get a lot of issues in my right shoulder in particular because it always wants to slump forward. A brace like this, of which there are many on Amazon, should work well. This one in particular though, was very uncomfortable. As you can see from the pictures I had to put socks under my armpits to provide some padding, and even then the brace was only tolerable for about 10 minutes because it was cutting into my under arms so badly. The manufacturer put a nice soft foam around one side of the elastic to protect from this exact issue, but not on the other. So it’s very comfortable on your outer shoulder but terrible under your arms. I was also surprised to find that the straps were not adjustable, since they are on most other braces. I wanted them a little tighter but the only way to do that (according to the instructions) would be to wrap them around your belly area instead of at your sternum. That would be super uncomfortable. This was one of the most expensive braces of this type on Amazon so it was pretty disappointing.

I purchased this posture corrector in hopes that it would help to support my back while working in my office or doing other various hobbies that tend to facilitate bad posture. I've dealt with upper back pain as long as I can remember, and I know what activities aggravate the problem and put pressure on ribs that pop out of place. I see a chiropractor regularly to put them back into place. When I received this corrector I was so impressed! I was able to use my sewing machine for hours without my ribs coming out! This is amazing because it only takes a couple minutes in that position to pull those ribs out and then I deal with tension and fire in my back until I can get adjusted at the chiropractor. I have used it when I knew I would be doing activities that usually bother my back, or have just put it on when I felt that area becoming tight during the day. It soothes the area by correcting what is going and allowing the muscles to relax. I recently went to the chiropractor, didn't tell him I had been using it for a couple months, and he asked me after checking my problem areas, "How's you back been?" I told him pretty good, and he said, "I looked over several times and I can't find anything going with your usual spot." I was floored! What a blessed find this corrector was. This corrector is only a temporary fix as I strengthen the muscles to hold my back naturally, but I am so excited to be able to strengthen my back now without pulling it out. Hopefully I won't need it in the future! In addition to a wonderful product, the designer, Alex, was wonderful to work with. When I was experiencing underarm discomfort with the size that I originally purchased, she immediately sent out another size for me to try. I felt like a member of the family as she corresponded with me and asked how it was going. When the second size arrived, she even included a personal note indicating that she hoped this would be the perfect one for me. I am so impressed, when I tried the second size, no more discomfort under the arms! Alex was right. She listened to my concerns and did her best to interpret them. This company is about your comfort. I am so glad I gave their product a try.

I put this brace on and originally positioned the velcro too high on my body so assumed this product didn't work because I could slouch. However, once I adjusted the velco below my belly button, my shoulders were pulled back. I find this brace incredibly comfortable and well made. My shoulders/back have started to hurt a little but it's due to the fact that I never sit/stand this way (with my spine straight and my shoulders back), not the product itself. The only small complaint I have is that even the extra small is a little big on me and I'm not a petite woman so I feel that others might have a problem with size.
