I finally went back to all true clear mono per Salt Strong guys. Too many tarpon were cutting my fluorocarbon line. This mono is the best for strength and durability when compared to all the others. You can consistently find the full set of diameters to make nicely tapered fly lie leaders. And, the flexibility is so much better for the same pound test rated line. The clear is also clear instead of milk. I would even use this as a shock leader for toothy freshwater beast. ... show more

I bought this line because it was the cheapest brand for the size I needed. However I wasn't fishing. I was fixing my eyeglasses. I have half-rim glasses and the bottom filament line on one of them broke. I found a how-to guide on the internet, measured the thickness of the line that broke, and got this Berkely line to do the job. This stuff is pretty thick, but it was ok to manipulate and with my trusty magnifying glass I was able to feed it through the rims just fine. Seems to be holding up great so far. So for four bucks or so I saved myself an hour of my life and a $10 visit to my local optician. ... show more
